Vaufthau Processing Industries was a construction company that specialized in urban settings and manufacturing. The company was one of many that became a contributing sponsor of the Corporate Sector Authority, the governing body of the Corporate Sector, sometime after the Authority was expanded by the Galactic Empire. This meant that they made financial contributions to the Authority and received a proportional share of investments. They also received limited representation on the Executive Directorship Board which managed the Authority and discounts on goods from within the sector.[2] During the Galactic Civil War, Vaufthau engaged in primary resource extraction and processing on the planet Goroth Prime despite have no previous interest in the field. The Sullustan administrator Boto del ibn Garl lobbied his superiors for resources to bid for secondary exploitation rights. On Goroth, Vaufthau engaged in widespread industrial espionage.[1]
