Vergesso or Vergesso Prime was the main asteroid in the Vergesso Asteroids. It was patrolled by squadrons of TIE/ln starfighters because of high pirate activity. The Rebel Alliance hired Han Solo to plant an EMP device in a shipment at Vergesso heading for Corulag to disable the Fleet there. The intention was to learn more about the Imperial Superweapon, but also set a chain reaction for the rescue of Admiral Ackbar. It was also the location of Vergesso Base, a joint Ororo Transportation/Rebel Alliance Asteroid Hangar wiped out by the Imperial Star Dreadnought Executor, and escorting Imperial starships.
