Victorious was a capital ship that served as flagship of the Qeimet fleet during the Galactic Civil War.

HistoryEdit

The starfighter forces carried aboard Victorious included a training squadron, which also served to supply fresh pilots for the Scimitar assault wing aboard the Star Destroyer Retribution.

In the later stages of their training aboard Victorious, these trainees were deployed as TIE Fighter pilots in actual combat conditions. Although normally expected to remain in reserve, they were sometimes pressed into direct combat with Rebel snubfighters.

However, pilots from the training squadron who were assigned to the Scimitar Wing had no training in TIE Bombers, and they had to learn how to handle their new fighters during their active-duty assignment. This occurred, for example, during the Assault of U'Dray.

Behind the scenesEdit

Some fan-created sources, such as The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia, make the claim that Victorious was some type of Star Destroyer. However, while plausible, there appears to be no explicit canon information to support this.
