- "I need you to understand, son, that I'm not without influence. There are things that I know to which even the Jedi aren't privy."
- ―Vidar Kim[src]
Vidar Kim was Palpatine's predecessor that served as Chommell Sector's representative in the Galactic Senate.
[edit] Biography
He was the father of the Jedi Ronhar Kim. Ronhar was taken by the Jedi Order as an infant with the approval of Vidar; however, after a crash killed off Vidar's wife and older sons, he unsuccessfully tried to convince Ronhar to return to him, as the last possibility of his bloodline continuing.
He was killed in an assassination attempt most likely plotted by Palpatine's alter ego, Darth Sidious, or even by his master, Darth Plagueis. What is known was that he succumbed to a fatal shot from an unidentified gunman. During his lifetime, he was unhappy of his son's life as a Jedi and constantly reminded his son that the Kim line would die out.
