Biography
Edit
Before he became senator, he acted as the aide of a senator for Naboo. He was conservative, and Cosinga Palpatine shared his views of pro-isolationism for Naboo, not wanting corporate entities wanting to exploit the plasma reserved in Naboo. Cosinga's eldest son also viewed him as a sort of mentor in the political stage, although he and Kim held significantly different political views on certain subjects.[1]
Senator Kim was the father of the Ronhar Kim, a Jedi Knight. Ronhar was taken by the Jedi Order as an infant with the approval of Vidar; however, after a crash killed off Vidar's wife and older sons, he unsuccessfully tried to convince Ronhar to return to him, as he was the last possibility of his bloodline continuing.
Kim was killed in an assassination attempt plotted by Palpatine's alter ego, Darth Sidious and his master, Darth Plagueis, thus paving the way for Palpatine to assume his duties in the Senate and, eventually, take control of the galaxy itself.
