The viewspider was a Yuuzhan Vong creature that was either native to the Yuuzhan Vong’s home galaxy or bioengineered by Yuuzhan Vong shapers. Viewspiders grew on tentacle-vines and had red glowing eyes. It was used primarily by the Yuuzhan Vong for its ability to produce live footage of a specific area. Jacen Solo encountered viewspiders in the dhuryam’s transportation ship to Yuuzhan'tar and again while roaming that world after having escaped capture.
