Vik Idd was a Human male who was the son of Lonn Idd and the brother of Nikki Idd. He was also one of the temporary owners of C-3PO and R2-D2. Vik was in charge of shipping droids back to his father's research facility where he would manufacture new technologies. On one trip, Vik returned with his sister to find that Tig Fromm was holding their father hostage until he would agree to install a dangerous laser weapon aboard his ship. With the arrival of his precious children, Fromm threatened to kill the pair if he did not do as he asked.

Along with C-3PO and R2-D2, Vik released his father from Fromm's grasp, but not before Lonn had installed the weapon on the ship providing Fromm with the ability to destroy the Idd's station. Luckily, C-3PO was able to don the outer shell of an old guardian droid on the station, allowing him to destroy Fromm's hover guard droids. With the tables turned, Vik trapped the Fromm and his men in a net to be given over to the authorities.

R2 and 3PO continued to work under the Idd family until they were purchased by Ambassador Zell on the planet Majoor.
