Vocal emulators were small devices that altered the vocal patterns of its user.[2] They operated through being swallowed, after which they would take up position in the user's throat. One was used to alter Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi's voice to sound like bounty hunter Rako Hardeen's.[1]
