Characteristics
The WED-20 had 7 arms, which could be fitted with multiple different tools to aid in its job. It had tracked locomotion and was equipped with a video recorder to record its work. It cost 8300 credits new.
History
The WED-20 was almost identical to the WED-15 Treadwell, but it was designed and programmed for an entirely different purpose. It was used by scouts as a first-contact planetary-analysis droid. It would leave the ship and go out to collect samples of the local flora and soil and record images of the fauna. It would use the microlab in its base to perform analysis in the field.
