Waldan Bridger was a bald and burly Jedi Master and a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. 22 months into that conflict, the Republic dispatched General Bridger to rescue the planet Togoria from a Separatist threat. The Togorians, however, had voluntarily gone over to the CIS. The native warriors tore Bridger's landing party to shreds. The fearsome General Grievous spared Bridger and challenged him to a duel. The Jedi Master used his trademark San-Ni staff against the droid general, but the fight lasted less than twenty seconds. Waldan Bridger was cut to ribbons, and Grievous left the body on the ground to feed the native mosgoths.

[edit] Behind the scenes
Bridger was created for the canceled Essential Guide to Episode I where it was told that he was an equipment master who equipped Jedi in preparation for the field.
Waldan Bridger's first name, along with the first name of fellow Jedi L'lacielo Sageon, is an anagram of Daniel Wallace. Originally, Abel G. Peña planned to name ancient Jedi Awdrysta Pina as "Waldan L'lacielo"; this name was changed in editing, so Peña later went on to split the anagram and use it for these two characters' first names.[1]
