Wallen was a Human male stormtrooper who held the rank of sergeant, and was assigned to Colonel Dyer's command on the forest moon of Endor in 4 ABY during the construction of the second Death Star prior to the Battle of Endor. Governor Yount of the Wakeelmui garrison recommended his unit to Commander Igar. When Igar and a squad of stormtroopers brought Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader at a landing station the night before the Battle of Endor, Wallen and another stormtrooper stood by and overheard the conversation between the Rebel and his father, where Skywalker unsuccessfully tried to turn Darth Vader from the dark side of the Force, before bringing the Rebel to the Death Star upon the Sith Lord's request.

[edit] Biography
Sergeant Wallen was among the stormtroopers who were stationed on the forest moon of Endor under the command of Colonel Dyer during the construction of the second Death Star. His unit was recommended to Commander Igar by Governor Yount of the Wakeelmui garrison.[1]
The evening before the Battle of Endor, Wallen and another stormtrooper were present at a landing station on the forest moon when Darth Vader arrived from his Lambda-class shuttle, shortly before Commander Igar and several other stormtroopers[2] aboard the AT-AT Tempest 1[3] brought Luke Skywalker to Lord Vader after the young Rebel surrendered to the Imperial forces. Wallen and his partner watched as the commander delivered Skywalker's lightsaber to the Dark Lord of the Sith, claiming that weapon was all the Rebel was armed with. Skywalker denied that there were more Rebels in the Endor forests, but the commander believed otherwise and requested to continue his search for Rebel commandos. Upon Vader's consent, Igar left along with his stormtroopers to continue his search for Rebels, and Sergeant Wallen and his partner stayed behind where they overheard the conversation between Vader and Skywalker. The Jedi tried to persuade his father to let go of his hate, but Vader remained loyal to his master, Emperor Palpatine and told his son that the latter did not know the true power of the dark side of the Force and that Palpatine would show Skywalker the true nature of the Force as the Jedi's new master. As Vader finished, he motioned for Wallen and his partner to escort Skywalker to the second Death Star, where the young Jedi Knight would be brought to the Emperor's throne room.[2]
[edit] Personality and traits
Governor Yount of Wakeelmui personally recommended Sergeant Wallen and his unit of stormtroopers to Commander Igar. They were transferred to Endor, where they served under the command of Colonel Dyer. He and his partner participated in the transfer of Luke Skywalker from the landing platform to the second Death Star.[1]
