The Waterspire was a Mon Calamari Simiyiar-class light freighter. Initially used by a crew of Rebel Alliance operatives whose primary area of operations was located in the Wilpiet area, the ship was stolen by the bounty hunter Milacass at least two months after he joined the Granse Confederacy. In the process, he also damaged Rebel property and became a being wanted by Alliance Intelligence.
Milacass's use of the Waterspire had been made available for the Granse Confederacy. However, the loose organization of bounty hunters preferred to use their other two starships, the Mist Laden and Nightcast because they were less striking--and, thusly, less noticeable. Due to this, Milacass had not even bothered to change the ship's markings or transponder codes during the following two months, as he saw no need to do so.
