Weebacca was a Wookiee spacer and childhood friend of Chewbacca.
He also carried the name of the ancient Wookiee hero Bacca, the first of the great chieftains of Kashyyyk.

Weebacca could be untrustworthy and petty at times but loyal to Chewbacca and the two were never in conflict, despite whatever trouble Weebacca was currently in.
It didn't take long for the diminutive Wookiee to find his way into smuggling and gambling. Weebacca loved sabacc and always was in need of credits. He would take any job, like a bodyguard-for-hire. For a long time, Weebacca had no contact with any of his relatives. He resurfaced, running spice through the Kashyyyk system, under the nose of the Imperial patrols. He hated the Empire and when his home planet was invaded and enslaved, he dropped his lucrative smuggling career and rushed home to help. He seems to have made some deal at some point with Moff Darcc and Pekt against his own tribe.
While liberating Kashyyyk from the Trandoshan slavers and the Imperial Remnant, Han Solo and Chewbacca moved to Kepitenochan, liberating Wookiee slaves in their way. Before the city, they found Weebacca destroying a Trandoshan building. Despite this apparent common enemy, Han Solo was very uneasy seeing a lone Wookiee unharmed; these suspicions were to be justified by Weebacca's subsequent actions.
Weebacca helped Han and Chewbacca reoccupy Kepitenochan and rebuild the Government Tree with which they would be able to contact the New Republic. They realized that the Imperials had installed three jammers which prevented them from communicating.
Weebacca claimed that the jammers were to be found in the city of Okikuti. However, when Han, Chewbacca and a company of Wookiees investigated the city, they found no jammers, instead finding an Imperial trap. The Imperials had waited outside the city and besieged it once they entered. The Rebels managed to escape the trap by cutting trees to form a back route and reach the river to Chenachochan.
Weebacca was later seen when the Wookiees destroyed Darcc's palace. Han and Chewbacca caught him trying to escape along with Dracc and Pekt in an Imperial shuttle and Chewbacca killed Weebacca in a duel.
