- "Aaargh!"
- ―The Weequay upon being strangled by Count Dooku
This male Weequay cell guard was a member of the Ohnaka Gang, a pirate band led by Hondo Ohnaka. During the Clone Wars, the gang captured Count Dooku, the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and held him for ransom. Dooku was placed into a cell inside the gang's base on Florrum. The Weequay was tasked with guarding Dooku, to make sure the prisoner wouldn't escape. However, due to a destructive accident caused by Jar Jar Binks, the power couplings of the base were destroyed, shutting down all the outpost's power. The locking system of Dooku's cell was disabled, and the Count opened the cell's door. He sneaked behind the incautious Weequay, and strangled him to death.

Biography
Edit
- "They are devious and deceitful and most importantly, stupid."
- ―Count Dooku's thoughts on the members of the Ohnaka Gang

The male Weequay was a member of the pirate group[2] known as Ohnaka Gang[3] during the Clone Wars.[2] When Hondo Ohnaka, the captain of the gang, led the pirates to the planet Vanqor[4] around 21 BBY,[1] the gang encountered and captured Count Dooku,[4] the political leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[5] The Count was taken to the gang's base on the planet Florrum, and handcuffed with energy-binders, after which he was placed inside a cell. Ohnaka planned to bargain him to the Galactic Republic, in exchange for ransom paid in spice. However, as Dooku tried to escape the captivity several times, the Weequay cell guard was positioned to guard him incessantly. The Weequay stood in guard in front of Dooku's cell, when Representative Jar Jar Binks of the Galactic Senate, who had arrived to deliver the spice to the pirates, accidentally destroyed the power couplings of the base. As a result, the whole base's power went out, disabling the locking system of the Count's cell. Noticing this, the Sith Lord silently opened the cell's door, sneaked behind the cell guard, and strangled him to death with his energy-binders.[2]
Personality and traits
Edit
A pirate of the Ohnaka Gang, the Weequay cell guard was trusted with guarding Dooku,[2] an important prisoner worth one million credits for the gang via the ransom.[4] However, the Weequay was not attentive toward the Count, which led to his own death when Dooku made his escape.[2]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The Weequay cell guard's first appearance was in "The Gungan General," the twelfth episode of The Clone Wars television series.[2] To date, he has not been officially named, however, the episode's accompanying online guide calls him the "Weequay cell guard." The episode credits do not identify any actor voicing the Weequay cell guard, but Corey Burton and Dee Bradley Baker are credited as voicing pirate guards. Any of them, or an uncredited actor, might have voiced this character.[6]
