Lieutenant Weirs was an officer in the Republican Army who helped lead troops in the Battle of Mandalore shortly before the time of the Clone Wars. While he was walking the streets of Mandalore with Jedi Voli Quana and discussing her use of the Force to relay his commands before he gave them, their group was ambushed and he was shot through the chest and his dead body spun into an alley.
