The Whitesun family was a family that lived on the planet Tatooine. For three generations as of the Clone Wars they had been moisture farmers and were known as the best of them in the area around Mos Eisley.
The only known members of the Whitesun family bloodline were the sisters Beru, Dama, and perhaps Coolie.
When Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, his son, Luke Skywalker, was cared for by Beru and her husband, Owen Lars. Owen and Beru, who Luke called "Uncle Owen" and "Aunt Beru," were killed by Imperial stormtroopers in 0 BBY.
