Whrr was a librarian droid that worked in a small library in Tipoca City on Kamino. Young Boba Fett frequently visited the library and talked to the droid. He didn't know what Whrr looked like or even if he was a person, so figured he was a droid. He called him "Whrr" because that is the sound he made when he moved.

It is noted that Whrr prefers books to hologames, which he thinks are unimportant. Boba Fett agrees, much to his father's discouragement. Particularly biased for a droid, she encourages the use of imagination and creativity.
