The Wilderness Fighters were a Rebel SpecForce branch whose specialization was combat in wilderness environments. Wilderness Fighters were trained in an environmental specialization, including desert, jungle, swamp, aquatic, and arctic combat and survival.

Examples of their use in combat are the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor
