William Hootkins (July 5, 1948–October 23, 2005) was a stage and screen actor.

He portrayed Jek Tono Porkins in A New Hope.

Hootkins appeared in two other Lucasfilm productions; He portrayed Major Eaton in 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark (alongside Harrison Ford), and Diaghilev in the 1992 episode "Barcelona, May 1917" of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Hootkins later appeared as Max Eckhardt in 1989's Batman alongside Billy Dee Williams.

He passed away from pancreatic cancer in Santa Monica, California on October 23, 2005.
