The Wing Guard Elite cloud car squadron was a highly streamlined airborne security force composed of veteran and commando pilots pulled from the 1st Wing Guard and the 2nd Wing Guard squadrons. Founded by Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian and led by Lobot, the Wing Guard Elite helped to protect Cloud City.

History

In 1 ABY, Cloud City's new Baron Administrator, Lando Calrissian, reorganized the previously existing airborne security defense force—the 1st Wing Guard, a cloud car squadron division of the Bespin Wing Guard—into the 2nd Wing Guard by hiring commando pilots. The best pilots from the former 1st and the newly formed 2nd Wing Guards were eventually reassigned to Elite Wing Guard.

When Darth Vader brought an occupation force to Cloud City, the 2nd Wing Guard became aligned with the Rebellion when Lobot and Lando orchestrated resistance against Imperial forces and Calrissian departed with members of the Rebel Alliance.

Description

Based in the Cloud City Security Tower on Bespin's Cloud City, the 2nd Wing Guard's cloud cars were painted orange and offered minimal protection to the pilots who flew them.

Behind the scenes

The Wing Guard Elite was represented by two different miniatures in the Scum & Villainy expansion of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG.
