Wistril was a planet in the Wistril system, located in the Outer Rim Territories. It was known for its smugglers.

History

Wistril was a planet where the Chimaera stopped to take on supplies. Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade hijacked a supply shuttle on the planet in order to rescue Talon Karrde from the Chimaera's detention block. A decade later, Skywalker encountered Pinchers on the world.

The planet remained under Imperial control even after the death of the Emperor at Endor. Eventually the New Republic drove Imperial forces from the system following Admiral Pellaeon's failed offensive against the Republic.^[2]

During the Yuuzhan Vong War the planet was conquered by the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong. The Imperial Remnant would later rout the Yuuzhan Vong from the system shortly after the aliens' failed attack on Imperial space.^[2]

Behind the scenes

The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly places Wistril in the Farfin Sector, a misspelling of the true Farrfin Sector.
