Octupedal[1] |
The Wodes were an octopedal sentient species native to a planet with a gravitational pull twice that of the galactic standard. When traveling to worlds with lesser gravities, the Wodes took very heavy steps, unaccustomed to their lighter weight.[1] During the Clone Wars, in which the Galactic Republic fought against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Wodes were liberated by the Republic general, Solomahal, a member of the Lutrillian species.[2] In 2 BBY, a number of Wode were present on the planet Bonadan at the same time that the smuggler Han Solo was there investigating a slaving ring.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The Wodes were created by Brian Daley for his novel Han Solo's Revenge, published by Del Rey in 1979. They later received a mention in Rough and Tundra: Adventure Settings and Scenarios for the Greater Javin written by Craig R. Carey, Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace and published by Wizards of the Coast in 2004.
