Wookiee luau was a type of food that gave off a strong smell when cooked. The dish was related to the Wookiee^[1] species of the planet Kashyyyk,^[2] and could be found on the Galactic Empire's capital planet Coruscant in 19 BBY. That year, the Sullustan reporter Den Dhur smelled Wookiee luau cooking in the open air while he was in Ploughtekal Market on Coruscant.^[1]

Wookiee luau was first mentioned in Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, a 2008 novel written by Michael Reaves and published by Del Rey.^[1]
