A few points: For those not familiar with lightsaber forms (i.e., me!), can you add some context on Soresu? You will know better, but something like "Soresu, known for its tight moves, subtle dodges and short sweeps designed to provide maximum defensive coverage" should do (taken from the Soresu article, so you will need to verify its accuracy).
Could you add a touch of description on the shape of the Bane's Heart crystal? The image shows it as a starburst.
I think that would be a tad irrelevant, as the article is about the lightsaber, not the crystal.
Couple of points: First, I think you might be thinking I am after more than I actually am. Adding ", a red-colored, starburst shaped crystal" would be sufficient to satisfy me. Second, the crystal is part of the lightsaber, and therefore I think it is a bit disingenuous to state that the article is about the lightsaber, not the crystal. --Eyrezer 12:21, August 29, 2011 (UTC)
Apologies, I did misunderstand you, so please excuse that bit from me. Addressed now.—Tommy9281 Monday, August 29, 2011, 20:58 UTC
The last paragraph of the Special handling feels a bit abstract. I presume this is from specific examples of Zannah fighting. If so, I think it would improve if you sprinkled some context or examples in this section.
"The double-bladed lightsaber was used to eliminate two additional Jedi in the same bout". Do these Jedi have articles yet? If so, please add the links, otherwise they should be redlinked to Unidentified Jedi. Similarly, I have added a redlink to the unidentified Dark Jedi mentioned in the Recovery section.
I added the appropriate links, but I think the Dark Jedi one should be removed given the nature of the ambiguity presented by the individual's mention in Lord of War, and the possibility of it being one of two Dark Jedi who are featured in Star Wars Manga: Silver. If you don't mind, I'd like to remove it because of that.—Tommy9281 Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 17:20 UTC
Interesting. I removed the link. --Eyrezer 12:21, August 29, 2011 (UTC)
Actually, on this point, can you please explain in the BTS section the nature of the reference by Abel Pena to the dark Jedi, and the two possibilities. Info on this can be fond on this blog. --Eyrezer 10:28, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
Good stuff. Addressed.—Tommy9281 Tuesday, September 6, 2011, 17:45 UTC
Sorry, Tommy. I forgot about this unresolved objection. Abel's endnotes actually suggest that the lightsaver used by N-K is the same lightsaber used by Zannah (see the line that says "The revelation that Necrosis' double-bladed lightsaber once belonged to her is newly established information, based on the fact that when the droid is defeated in the game, it "drops" a lightsaber crystal called Bane's Heart"). I don't have Lord of War - are you able to send me a copy? --Eyrezer 10:39, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
Having seen the original source, my suspicion is that at the time, Abel meant for NK's saber in Galaxies to be this one, but as it has since been illustrated to look different, I think how the article is currently worded is fine. --Eyrezer 03:29, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
I think it would be useful to mention the defeat of N-K Necrosis, as that will have an impact on the ownership of the lightsaber. Just checking: is it only the crystal and not the saber that can be obtained by players that kill N-K in Galaxies?
Are there other double-bladed lightsabers he has in the game? If not, would the one that does have not be this same one, albeit unnamed, or retconned, however it's said?—Tommy9281 Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 17:20 UTC
The lightsaber he uses is the standard polearm hilt and has a red crystal, so its unlikely that its this specific weapon. Heres the hilt style. OLIOSTER(talk) 02:13, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
Cool Olioster, thanks. Based on that, I'd say that any further elaboration on Necrosis and the crystal is foraging too far off the topic, which is the lightsaber.—Tommy9281 Thursday, August 25, 2011, 02:17 UTC
If the spacers kill N-K and get the Bane's Heart crystal from his corpse, that must tell us something about the lightsaber that once held it. In other words, it is relevant to this article that an important part of the saber was removed from the weapon. Tommy, I know you are talented enough to write something on this without shading into speculation on what happened to the rest of the lightsaber. --Eyrezer 09:52, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Olioster said above that the lightsaber is not the same, so how can mention of the crystal being removed from a lightsaber that is not this particular one be relevant?—Tommy9281 Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 16:18 UTC
When a player kills N-K, they receive the Bane's Heart lightsaber crystal. Therefore, regardless of which lightsaber N-K uses to fight with, we know that one of the crystals has been removed from the Bane's Heart lightsaber -- the particular lightsaber that is the subject of this article. We know the Bane's Heart crystal has been removed from the Bane's Heart lightsaber -- and that should be included. --Eyrezer 20:09, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
I'm sorry but I honestly don't know what you want. All you keep talking about is a lightsaber crystal that is removed from a lightsaber that has been identified as not being Bane's Heart. What am I supposed to say? "Somewhere somehow Bane's Heart was removed by someone and put in some other lightsaber and was eventually removed again when Necrosis was defeated by some odd spacer?" That's just a ridiculously unnecessary stretch, and as far as I'm concerned, that has nothing to do with the Bane's Heart lightsaber.—Tommy9281 Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 20:35 UTC
I believe what Eyrezer is saying is that the fact that the "Bane's Heart" lightsaber crystal can be found in a different lightsaber during Galaxies means that at some point before Galaxies, it was removed from Bane's Heart (lightsaber) and placed inside this new lightsaber. Therefore, said removal of the crystal should be mentioned in the "History" section, as it's relevant info about the history of the article's subject. As a hypothetical comparable example, if the quad turrets from the Falcon showed up in some other ship in Legacy, it would be appropriate to note in the Millennium Falcon article that at some point before 137 ABY, the ship's quad turret was removed. Eyre, that sound about right? Menkooroo 07:42, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Please advise whether or not what I added is sufficient.—Tommy9281 Sunday, September 4, 2011, 12:51 UTC
Thanks, Menk. That is exactly it. Tommy, I have modified what you had written a little bit, as I do not think that Galaxies actually specifies that the BH crystal is in the alternative lightsaber (other loot is also obtained from N-K that indicates it does not strictly reflect what he has holding). --Eyrezer 10:08, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
Much appreciated, Eyr.—Tommy9281 Tuesday, September 6, 2011, 17:45 UTC
Other than that, nice work! Can you squeeze in a couple more for the barnburner FA week? --Eyrezer 07:51, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the review, Eyre. Please advise if anything further is required.—Tommy9281 Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 17:20 UTC
"used in its focus." Used in or used as (part of)? Subtle distinction, but I just wanted to make sure "focus" here is referring to some central cavity within the lightsaber and not to the crystals themselves.
Should the unnamed Dark Jedi who lost the lightsaber to Grievous get an article? That's it. Nicely done. ~Savage 14:07, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Eyr asked about that above, see my reply please. Otherwise, thanks again for the review Bob. Please advise if anything further is required.—Tommy9281 Sunday, September 4, 2011, 15:33 UTC
Works for me. ~Savage 16:07, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Can the intro be expanded? The single sentence about its usage by Zannah doesn't seem proportionate to the five paragraphs of the "Zannah's weapon" section of the body.
I'd have to say no. That sentence succinctly sums up the entirety of those five paragraphs and makes further detail in the intro redundant and unnecessary.—Tommy9281 Monday, October 17, 2011, 21:34 UTC
The image of the Bane's Heart lightsaber crystal could use a bit more of a caption, I think; a caption simply reading "Bane's Heart" is confusing when that's also the name of the lightsaber and the article's subject.
It was left short because it displaces the following section header, but I hear you.—Tommy9281 Monday, October 17, 2011, 21:34 UTC
The "impenetrable defense" and "impregnable shields" descriptors seem to be contradicted by the last sentence of "Special Handling," which states that strong opponents can disrupt the twirling wall. Maybe something like "near-impenetrable" would be more accurate?
What was the outcome of her initial duel with Bane? A quick note might be in order; they're dueling, and then one sentence later they're working together again, which is a bit jarring.
Othone's article indicates that he's impaled by Zannah's lightsaber, but this article makes no mention of it or his fate. Similarly, is Xaj actually killed by the lightsaber in the end? If they died at its hands, I think the nature of their deaths should be included.
Addressed bit about Xaj, but was "The double-bladed lightsaber was then used to eliminate Jedi Raskta Lsu and Othone, both of whom were fatally run through with its blades" not sufficient for Othone?—Tommy9281 Monday, October 17, 2011, 21:34 UTC
Whoops, must have missed that.
Star Wars Manga Silver has been identified as non-canon in its most recent release, but "Behind the scenes" discusses it as if it were canonical. If Kaa and Lii are non-canon, then it doesn't seem entirely accurate to note that they're possibilities in a canonical scenario.
Would you prefer that I (a) eliminate that entire bit and create an article for the unidentified Dark Jedi, or (b) mention that the comic is non-canon in the BtS? I'm totally fine with whatever you decide.
I think the info is good; it should just be established as Infinities. Menkooroo 03:47, October 18, 2011 (UTC)
Let me know if it's good now.—Tommy9281 Friday, October 21, 2011, 12:42 UTC
Really good work. A nice and tight focus on the lightsaber throughout the "History" section. Bravo! Menkooroo 10:15, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the review, Menkooroo. Please identify if anything further is required.—Tommy9281 Monday, October 17, 2011, 21:34 UTC
"The Sith apprentice was later forced to briefly wield her lightsaber against Darth Bane himself, who mistakenly believed that she had betrayed him before he was convinced otherwise." Not major, but can any duel/event be linked here?
Good work otherwise. CC7567(talk) 07:07, October 28, 2011 (UTC)
Addressed. Thanks for the review, CC. Please advise if anything further is required.—Tommy9281 Saturday, October 29, 2011, 01:58 UTC
I know you don't necessarily want to add anything more to the intro, but I feel like maybe we can still expand it a touch. Perhaps just adding one or two brief mentions of the most significant actions Zannah used the saber in. For example, battling and ultimately defeating Bane? Maybe something else you deem important enough?Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:59, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
