[edit] July 1, 2010 – Lorth Needa
Lorth Needa was a Human male fleet officer in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars and the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. He served as lieutenant commander of the Republic Carrack-class cruiser Integrity in Home Fleet Strike Group Five of the Coruscant Home Fleet during the Battle of Coruscant, in which he was prepared to destroy General Grievous's flagship, the Invisible Hand, should the general be unable to prove that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was being held captive aboard the warship. During the Imperial era, Needa was promoted to captain of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Avenger by Fleet Admiral Kendal Ozzel and assigned to Darth Vader's Death Squadron, often being tasked with following up on certain leads regarding the location of the Rebel Alliance's hidden headquarters. Needa served as one of Ozzel's advisors, earning him the distrust of both Vader and Emperor Palpatine.
In the aftermath of the Battle of Hoth, where General Maximilian Veers's assault on Echo Base forced the Rebels into fleeing, Needa and the Avenger were charged with capturing Han Solo's YT-1300 light freighter, the Millennium Falcon, and her crew. The Falcon outran the pursuing Star Destroyers and hid within the Hoth asteroid field, but the Avenger plunged into the field, intent on completing its assignment. The search proved to be hazardous as the warship sustained damage, and its gunners were forced to fire on the asteroids rather than remain alert for the elusive freighter. Nevertheless, when the Falcon emerged from the maelstrom, the Avenger was right behind the freighter. Before Needa could detain the craft, Solo charged the Avenger and landed on a blind spot on the aft of the destroyer's conning tower; as a result, the destroyer's sensors could not find the vessel. Believing to have failed his mission, Needa went to the Star Dreadnought Executor to personally apologize to Vader. The Dark Lord of the Sith accepted his apology after making sure that the captain would never fail again. Two Imperial Navy troopers then dragged Needa's lifeless body away.
[edit] July 2, 2010 – Pernicar
Pernicar was a male Human Jedi Master who fought in the New Sith Wars. The son of a scribe, Pernicar's father sent him to the Jedi Order once he proved himself to be Force-sensitive, something he resented for many years. From 1,010 BBY until 1,000 BBY, Pernicar fought in the New Sith Wars against the Brotherhood of Darkness, at one point being forced to kill his former Padawan, Wud Mortull, who had fallen to the dark side of the Force. In 1,002 BBY, he was called into action to fight on the planet Ruusan in the Army of Light, a Jedi army led by Pernicar's good friend, Lord Hoth. During the Ruusan campaign, Pernicar found himself as the mediator in the frequent arguments between Hoth and another high-ranking member of the Army of Light, Master Valenthyne Farfalla. Pernicar was killed in a Sith attack in 1,000 BBY on Ruusan, around the time of the Sixth Battle of Ruusan.
[edit] July 3, 2010 – Tarsus Valorum
Tarsus Valorum was the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic during and immediately following the conclusion of the New Sith Wars and was responsible for enacting the Ruusan Reformations that reconstructed the entire Republic. A member of the politically influential House Valorum of Coruscant, Valorum became the first Supreme Chancellor who was not a member of the Jedi Order in over four centuries. The New Sith Wars ended during his term, and Valorum devised and implemented the Ruusan Reformations, a series of reforms that dissolved both the Republic Military and the Jedi Order's Army of Light while decentralizing the Republic's power.
After his term as Supreme Chancellor ended, Valorum remained an ambassador for the Republic, visiting many worlds in an attempt to re-establish their ties to the Republic and to improve galactic relations with non-Republic planets. One of the more prominent cases of his ambassadorship occurred when he survived a kidnapping attempt on Serenno by the Anti-Republic Liberation Front, which was secretly being aided by Darth Zannah and the Order of the Sith Lords. Valorum was saved by Johun Othone, a Jedi Knight serving as his advisor. To repay Othone for saving his life, Valorum agreed to a request made by Othone and petitioned the Galactic Senate for funds to create a memorial for the Jedi who died battling the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness during the last battle of the New Sith Wars. Valorum secured the funds and Othone, before the latter's death at the hands of the Sith, constructed what became known as the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan.
[edit] July 4, 2010 – Sauvax
The Sauvax were a sentient species native to the planet Leritor. They were amphibious crustaceans with great physical strength, distinguished by big pincers on their arms and six crab-like legs. While fearsome looking to Humans, the Sauvax were actually peaceful beings who preferred negotiation over war to settle disputes. They had a rich, complex culture that was not completely understood by outsiders. The planet Leritor held little attraction for most alien entrepreneurs and settlers, making the Sauvax species little known and affording them few chances to leave their planet. They had little contact with aliens and no tradition of Force users.
During the New Sith Empire, the Sith tried to take over the Sauvax, but the offworlders eventually disappeared, leaving a hidden Sith artifact. Later, the planet was sparsely settled by Human farmers from the Core Worlds who agreed to share the planet with the Sauvax, although they reduced the specific contact to a minimum. In 30 BBY, a Sith adept looking for Sith relics tried to unleash a war among the Sauvax and the Humans to distract the locals while she performed archaeological activities, exploiting Sauvax prisoners as underwater miners. However, some offworlders discovered the situation, and the Sith and her minions were defeated and peace was restored to Leritor.
[edit] July 5, 2010 – Funeral of Marka Ragnos
The funeral of Marka Ragnos was a Sith funeral that occurred in 5,000 BBY on the planet Korriban, to mark the passing of revered Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos. Officiated by a lesser Sith Lord named Ludo Kressh, Ragnos' funeral took place in Korriban's Valley of the Dark Lords and marked the end of the period known as the Golden Age of the Sith. An opulent tomb had been prepared within the valley's Shyrack caves for the deceased, filled with many treasures acquired by Ragnos' Empire during his time as its Emperor.
The funeral was attended by many from all tiers of Sith society, including twenty of the Empire's most prominent Sith Lords; Ludo Kressh was at the head of the procession and also presided over the Dark Lord's rites of passage. The ceremony began without hitch after Ragnos' tomb was sealed, but when Kressh's sworn enemy, the Sith sorcerer Naga Sadow, arrived late to take a place of reverence amongst his kinsmen, the interruption angered Kressh immensely. A heated exchange between the two over who should become Ragnos' successor as the next Dark Lord quickly escalated into a Sith sword duel, but was just as quickly brought to an end with the sudden appearance of the ghost of Ragnos himself.
Proclaiming an end to the Sith's Golden Age, Ragnos issued an ominous warning to the feuding Lords to choose their next moves wisely, as the fate of Sith Empire would be decided by their actions. The presence of Ragnos' spirit also appeared in a vision to Jedi Knight Odan-Urr of the distant Koros system, who believed the premonition was one of foreboding for the Galactic Republic. Meanwhile, the funeral ended with the unexpected arrival of hyperspace-traveling siblings Gav and Jori Daragon on Korriban, which caused the Sith to view them as either potential harbingers of an invasion by the Republic or an opportunity to expand upon the majesty of an Empire which Ragnos ruled for more than a century.
[edit] July 6, 2010 – Tott Doneeta
Tott Doneeta, born Tottdon'eeta, was a male Twi'lek from the planet Ryloth. Born into slavery, he was found by Jedi Master Arca Jeth and trained as a Knight of the Galactic Republic. A devout follower of the Force, Doneeta studied alongside fellow apprentices Ulic and Cay Qel-Droma at Master Jeth's praxeum on Jeth's homeworld of Arkania. As he progressed in the ways of the Jedi, Doneeta developed a unique, innate ability to understand and communicate with beasts.
In 4,000 BBY, Doneeta and the Qel-Droma brothers were sent by Jeth to mediate negotiations between the warring peoples on the world of Onderon—the Beast Riders of Onderon's wilderness, and the dark side–worshiping citizens of Onderon's only city, Iziz. The mission went awry, and Doneeta found himself siding with the Beast Riders against the Naddists, followers of the ancient Dark Lord of the Sith Freedon Nadd that were led by Queen Amanoa of Iziz. The battle ended with the arrival of Master Jeth, who defeated Amanoa and banished Nadd's influence from Iziz. Doneeta and his companions remained on the planet to oversee Amanoa's funeral, and he was present when the forces of Amanoa's husband, King Ommin, arrived to steal both her remains and those of Nadd, Ommin's Sith forefather. After the ensuing battle, Doneeta stayed behind while Jeth attempted to retrieve the sarcophagi, but when Jeth was captured by King Ommin, Doneeta and his companions called for assistance from the Galactic Senate on Coruscant. The Republic responded by sending the full force of its navy and a team consisting of five additional Jedi. Doneeta and his team were successful in defeating the Naddists, freeing Jeth, and permanently driving Nadd's spirit from Onderon.
When a new Sith cult called the Krath was formed in the wake of the unrest in the Onderon system, Doneeta responded to the call for action by attending the Jedi Conclave on the planet Deneba. The Krath ambushed the convocation, and Master Jeth was killed in the attack, causing Doneeta's fellow Jedi, Ulic Qel-Droma, to subsequently infiltrate their ranks in an attempt to destroy the Krath from within. Many of Qel-Droma's colleagues were against his plan, and Doneeta was among those who were sent to collect him from the Krath, only to find that Qel-Droma had embraced the dark side and had become a Sith Lord. Qel-Droma and the Krath began a holy crusade and joined forces with Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun to wage the Great Sith War upon the Republic. When the Sith Brotherhood invaded Coruscant, Doneeta was among the Jedi that helped capture Qel-Droma so that he could be tried for his various war crimes. However, Qel-Droma was freed by Exar Kun, and together they resumed their war of galactic conquest. Doneeta was later present on the library world of Ossus when the Sith Brotherhood caused a supernova that threatened to devastate the planet. He assisted in the evacuation proceedings by gathering many priceless Jedi artifacts before the conflagration hit. The Sith were ultimately overthrown by the Jedi when Qel-Droma—who had renounced his allegiance to the Dark Lord—led Doneeta and his companions to Kun's stronghold on Yavin 4. There, the Twi'lek participated in the collective Jedi effort to defeat Exar Kun, which resulted in Yavin 4's surface destruction.
Ten years later, Doneeta returned to Ryloth, where he unsuccessfully attempted to stall a planetary weather phenomenon known as a heat storm in defense of his clansmen. He later left his homeworld for the Exis space station to attend another Jedi gathering called by then–Head of the Order, Nomi Sunrider. Arriving late, Doneeta was just in time to save Sunrider's daughter from a stellar calamity. At the conclave's end, Doneeta traveled with the Cathar Jedi Sylvar in various attempts to help her release her anger, but to no avail. The quest led them to her homeworld, where he finally recognized that Sylvar's hate was leading her into the dark side. In the deserts of Cathar, Tott Doneeta left his old friend to contemplate whether or not she would give in to it.
[edit] July 7, 2010 – Darth Andeddu
Darth Andeddu was an ancient humanoid male who held the position of Dark Lord of the Sith, and was dubiously thought of as the forebear of the "Darth" title. In life, Andeddu was a paranoid man who believed that his fellow Sith Lords—whom he regarded as his enemies—wanted to claim his vast collection of Sith lore and ritual for themselves. Thus, he stored his wisdom within a holocron and escaped the Sith tombworld of Korriban, returning to a personal stronghold on his homeworld of Prakith. He then entombed himself in an attempt to deprive his pursuers of the power they sought to steal, but despite this, his mind lived on, retaining the ability to exert control over the flesh in which it once resided. A Sith cult founded by Lord Andeddu called the "Malevolence" maintained residence in his Keep and guarded the fortress for generations in anticipation of their Dark Lord's return.
The legend of Darth Andeddu and his unnatural talents remained at large long after his death. His holocron survived as well—first discovered by the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus in 21 BBY, and then recovered by Darth Krayt and his One Sith Order more than a century later. Krayt, who suffered from a Yuuzhan Vong slave seed infestation that threatened to leave him bereft of sentience, allowed his lieutenant Darth Wyyrlok III to access Andeddu's holocron in search of possible solutions. The device led the Chagrian Sith on a journey to Andeddu's Keep on Prakith, where he encountered and defeated the Malevolence cultists, but in doing so, he revived the ancient body of Darth Andeddu. The Dark Lord then dueled Wyyrlok on a battlefield of the mind, a contest which ultimately resulted in Andeddu's demise. His corpse was resealed within the tomb that had housed it for countless millennia, and his collection of Sith doctrines was pillaged by Wyyrlok, who hoped to obtain a viable means of ending Darth Krayt's plight.
[edit] July 8, 2010 – Murgoob
Murgoob, also known as the Great Murgoob and Murgoob the Cranky, was the oracle for King Gorneesh's tribe of Duloks on the Forest Moon of Endor. By 3 ABY, Murgoob had lived for more than 600 seasons. He looked the part, walking with a noticeable stoop and leaning heavily on a twisted, wooden staff. He had an unkempt, gray beard that hung down to his belly and long, gray head-hair that he bound with a cord. The oracle lived as a hermit in his lair, a rotted-out tree stump far from his tribe's village in the Dulok Swamp.
Decades before the Battle of Yavin, Murgoob participated in the Ewok-Dulok War, a conflict between his tribe and the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village over control of the forest. In a battle that would still haunt him decades later, Murgoob saw the Duloks driven back to their swamps by a formidable Ewok battlewagon. When Murgoob's nephew, the shaman Umwak, approached him in 3 ABY with news that the wagon had been rebuilt, the two hatched a scheme to steal it and use it against the Ewoks' Soul Trees. Murgoob joined the attack, but an Ewok saboteur destroyed the war machine before it could do any real damage. Murgoob and his tribemates fled once again to their marshland home.
[edit] July 9, 2010 – Minch
Minch was a male member of an unnamed tridactyl species, who served in the Jedi Order as a Knight of the Galactic Republic. Seven hundred years prior to the Battle of Yavin, Minch was assigned by the Jedi Council, along with his Zabrak Master, T'dai, on a mission with a group of Knights in the Bpfassh system to find and suppress the destructive rampage of several Bpfasshi Dark Jedi. When they boarded a Commerce Guild space station in Bpfassh space, Minch managed to corner one of the Dark Jedi and engage him in lightsaber combat. He lost the duel just before the darksider killed himself at the sight of Minch's companions. Intent on proving himself in battle, Minch then pursued the Dark Jedi's Master to the planet Dagobah against the orders of T'dai. Minch tracked the Bpfasshi to a cave, where he fought and slew him, which resulted in the cave becoming a place tainted with the malevolent energies of the dark side of the Force.
[edit] July 10, 2010 – Mission to Skytop Station
The mission to Skytop Station, also known as the raid on Skytop Station, took place around 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars. After Jedi General Anakin Skywalker's astromech droid, R2-D2, was lost during the Galactic Republic's defense of the planet Bothawui, the Trandoshan scavenger Gha Nachkt salvaged the droid from the planet's asteroid belt and promised him to the Confederate General Grievous in exchange for credits. Skywalker and his Padawan, Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, were issued R3-S6 as a replacement droid but were unaware that he was a spy working for Grievous.
High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi ordered Skywalker to find and destroy Skytop Station, a Confederate listening post. After discovering the station over the Ruusan moon in his personal ship, the Twilight, Skywalker learned that R2-D2 was aboard the station. Skywalker decided to rescue the droid, while Tano planted explosives around the station with a squad of clone troopers. Tano and the clones first engaged battle droids in a crossfire outside the reactor room. When Grievous arrived and attacked the group, Tano distracted the cyborg general while the remaining clones—Captain CC-7567, nicknamed Rex, as well as trooper Denal—finished the mission.
Skywalker was able to retrieve his droid from Confederate IG-100 MagnaGuards and arrived in the south landing bay to rendezvous with the Twilight. After Rex and Denal had arrived, however, R3-S6 trapped the group in the hangar and activated several Vulture droids. B2 super battle droids entered the room and engaged Skywalker and the clones. Skywalker ordered Rex to activate the explosives; and, with its anti-gravity repulsorlifts damaged, the station began to be pulled into the moon. Tano briefly confronted Grievous and arrived in the landing bay, and R2-D2 was able to open the hangar door from an external terminal; the droid also eliminated the spy droid, R3-S6. Grievous escaped in his personal fighter, and Skywalker retrieved R2-D2 in his Jedi interceptor, escaping the station with his team.
[edit] July 11, 2010 – Castin Donn
Castin Donn was a Human male from Coruscant who was a member of the New Republic commando group Wraith Squadron. In 7.5 ABY, Donn was brought in to replace the Wraiths' former slicer, Eurrsk Thri'ag, during the New Republic's campaign against Warlord Zsinj. When the Wraiths began an undercover operation and pretended to be pirates preying on the Halmad system, Donn participated in a number of raids, and his slicing skills proved instrumental to some of their successes. The Wraiths' pirate activities were later noticed by Zsinj, and they were invited aboard his flagship, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Iron Fist, to parley. Donn proposed a plan to his commander, Wedge Antilles, that would allow them to track Zsinj's location. Antilles deemed the plan risky but doable and assured Donn it would be implemented in the future. Feeling that Antilles was being too cautious, Donn disobeyed a direct order to remain on base and infiltrated the ship on his own initiative. Donn perished during a shoot-out against stormtroopers after freeing a Talz specimen Zsinj's scientists were experimenting on.
[edit] July 12, 2010 – Cracian thumper
Cracian thumpers were bipedal herbivores used as pack and riding animals. Originally from the Craci system, they possessed clawed forelimbs and hindlimbs, and a powerful tail. Their large, padded feet allowed them to move very quietly, earning them their ironic name—the "thumper"—which implied it should have thumped as it ran. They were loyal creatures, and unusually bright for a beast of burden; they were capable of being trained to perform a number of different tasks, to recognize patterns, and to follow simple commands. Though normally inoffensive, their claws and tail made them deadly opponents when they were threatened or trained to fight.
The usefulness of Cracian thumpers as riding and pack animals saw them heavily exported, making them the most widely employed land mount in the galaxy. They were frequently used in the Rebel Alliance, where they were an important part of its live mount scouting program, and were also heavily utilized by Alliance SpecForce personnel. Cracian thumper racing was also a popular sport in urban areas such as the Tapani sector.
[edit] July 13, 2010 – Gurion Silizzar
Gurion Silizzar was a Human male bounty hunter. Seven of his relatives had perished at the hands of Doctor Cornelius Evazan, causing Silizzar to seek revenge against him. He and five other family members went after Evazan, eventually locating him on the planet Ando. Silizzar was able to infiltrate his castle, and disarmed the doctor, planning on leading him up to the rooftop, where the group's starship was waiting. Silizzar wanted Evazan to be placed on trial for his crimes, but was willing to kill him if he attempted to flee. However, the doctor's pet Meduza, Rover, attacked Silizzar, distracting him. Though the bounty hunter then tried to strangle Evazan, the doctor was able to break loose of his grip and throw Silizzar off the castle edge, killing him, while Evazan was able to escape.
[edit] July 14, 2010 – Executor
The Super Star Destroyer Executor was the personal flagship of the Lord Darth Vader, the premier command ship of the Imperial Navy, and the first of the Executor-class Star Dreadnought line. Designed by starship engineer Lira Wessex as a successor to the original Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Executor, at a monumental 19,000 meters in length, represented the largest traditional warship the galaxy had ever seen by the time of its completion. The Executor bristled with more than 5,000 weapon emplacements, enough firepower to blast any planetary surface to slag in hours, and a military complement capable of annihilating any ground installation. The Executor's presence alone, however, was enough to frighten an entire star system into submission.
Construction on the Executor began under complete secrecy in the secluded Scarl system, where Vader raised and trained Galen Marek, his secret dark side apprentice, in a failed plan to overthrow Emperor Palpatine as galactic ruler. By 0 ABY, the Executor was transferred to the Starship Yards of Fondor for the final stages of construction, under the overall direction of Admiral Amise Griff. At Fondor, the Executor became the failed target of internal sabotage by a group of traitorous Imperial admirals, who hoped to destroy Vader's project to prevent their own decline in power. Once completed, the Executor made for Yavin 4, site of the Rebel Alliance base. Vader hoped to crush the Rebellion once and for all with his new weapon, but the Executor failed to stop the Rebel evacuation from Yavin, and Griff died in the process.
For three years after Yavin, under the command of Admiral Kendal Ozzel, the Executor led Vader's Star Destroyer fleet, the Imperial Death Squadron, in the Empire's hunt for the Rebellion's secret headquarters as part of Vader's personal mission to locate his son, Luke Skywalker. In 3 ABY, the Executor led the Imperial victory at the Battle of Hoth, but due to the tactical blundering of Ozzel, Skywalker and the Rebellion leadership escaped, and Vader executed Ozzel for his failure. The Executor's admiralty immediately passed to Captain Firmus Piett, under whom the Executor chased the Millennium Falcon from Hoth to Bespin's Cloud City in continued pursuit of Skywalker. The Executor again failed to capture Skywalker at Bespin, however, and so Vader's search for his son continued.
For a time, with the search for Skywalker on hold, the Executor returned with Vader to Coruscant, where, in 3.5 ABY, tensions between Vader and Prince Xizor of the Black Sun crime syndicate came to a head. In orbit above the Imperial capital, the Executor obliterated Xizor's personal skyhook, killing Vader's nemesis and ending Black Sun's threatening influence on the Empire. Immediately afterward, the Executor was assigned to protect the construction site of the incomplete second Death Star in the remote Endor system.
In 4 ABY, the Executor's relatively short life came to a crashing end above the Forest Moon of Endor. During the Battle of Endor, the Executor led a massive Star Destroyer armada in trapping the Rebel Fleet between itself and the Death Star battlestation. However, the Rebels turned the tables on the Empire by attacking the Executor at point-blank range. A concentrated assault on the Executor at the climax of the battle brought down the massive Super Star Destroyer's bridge deflector shields, before a wayward A-wing starfighter, piloted by Arvel Crynyd, crashed into the Executor's command bridge. With navigation failing, the Executor was sucked into the gravity well of the Death Star and collided with the battlestation, disintegrating on impact.
[edit] July 15, 2010 – Mission to Rodia
Senator Padmé Amidala took a diplomatic mission to Rodia around 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars. As the planet's supplies had been recently attacked by pirates, Amidala sought to ensure that Rodia remained allied with the Galactic Republic. Yet, Onaconda Farr, Rodia's representative in the Galactic Senate, had allied himself with Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Upon her arrival in the Senatorial Palace on Rodia, Amidala was taken captive, to be given to Gunray as part of the arrangement. After Amidala's protocol droid, C-3PO, and Representative Jar Jar Binks were attacked by battle droids in the palace hangar, Binks accidentally crushed Amidala's yacht with a magnetic hoist. Binks and C-3PO resolved to rescue Amidala from the palace's detention tower; however, when Binks found a Jedi robe in the yacht and put it on, the Confederate forces mistook him for a Jedi.
After Gunray arrived to collect Amidala, the viceroy revealed that he intended to execute her, and Farr began to mistrust the viceroy. Amidala broke out of her cell, while Binks, unaware of her escape, attempted to rescue her. C-3PO went to contact any Republic clone troopers within range for support, and Amidala engaged the Confederate droids. Binks slipped underwater, but a homing torpedo aimed at the Gungan exploded, and he was presumed dead. After contacting a nearby Republic convoy, C-3PO was arrested. As Confederate droidekas prepared to execute Amidala and C-3PO, however, Binks reappeared, and a Kwazel Maw that had befriended and saved the Gungan attacked the droids. Gunray fled, but he was apprehended by Amidala and Farr and taken into custody. Farr and Rodia remained allied to the Republic, and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine dispatched relief supplies to the planet.
[edit] July 16, 2010 – Skirmish at Sinkhole Station
This skirmish was a small battle that took place at Sinkhole Station in 43.5 ABY between Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker and his son Ben Skywalker, against a strike team of Sith sent to eliminate the two Jedi. The Skywalkers had recently embarked on a quest to find out what had caused Jacen Solo's fall to the dark side of the Force, which eventually led them to find the Mind Walkers at Sinkhole Station in the Maw. Meanwhile, the strike team, consisting of members of the Lost Tribe of Sith from Kesh, was sent to track down Ship, a Sith Meditation Sphere, and kill Luke Skywalker. After recovering Ship, the surviving members of the Sith strike team arrived at the station and ambushed the Jedi.
The Jedi duo survived the initial confrontation and headed for the station's hangar, only to be ambushed by Sith Master Yuvar Xal, Sith Saber Baad Walusari, and Sith apprentices Vestara Khai and Ahri Raas. Xal and Raas, however, had planned to betray the others in an attempted coup to take over command of the strike team from Khai's Master, Lady Olaris Rhea. They attempted to kill Walusari and Khai as they attacked the Skywalkers, but their betrayal was unsuccessful. Khai quickly killed Xal, and Raas and Walusari were slain by the Skywalkers. Luke then confronted Khai, allowing her to cut him with her parang in order to put a blood trail on her before knocking the apprentice out and taking her hostage.
The Skywalkers were once again ambushed along the way to the hangar by more of the Sith. Khai regained consciousness and attacked as well, and the Jedi were forced to let her escape. They defeated the rest of the Sith and made their way to the hangar, where Ben went to prepare the Jade Shadow as Luke went back inside the station and confronted the four remaining Sith, killing the first two quickly and engaging in a duel with the second pair, Rhea and Khai. In the Jade Shadow, Ben opened fire on Ship, distracting the two surviving Sith and allowing Luke to kill Rhea. Khai, realizing she was no match for the Jedi, saluted them and fled. The Skywalkers allowed her to escape so that they could follow her with the blood trail.
[edit] July 17, 2010 – Olaris Rhea
Olaris Rhea was a female Human Sith Lady in the Lost Tribe of Sith from the remote planet of Kesh. In 41 ABY, Rhea was appointed to be the Master of Sith Tyro Vestara Khai after Khai had encountered a Sith Meditation Sphere named Ship. Rhea and her new apprentice served in the Tribe's armada aboard the captured warship Eternal Crusader. After the members of the Tribe sensed Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker's presence in the Force two years later, Rhea and Grand Lord Darish Vol handpicked a strike team to bring down Skywalker and recover Ship, who had abruptly left Kesh. Using Khai's unique connection to Ship, the strike team, led by Rhea, tracked the Meditation Sphere to a planet in the Maw, where they encountered Abeloth, a female being who was able to control the world's deadly flora. She agreed to help keep the Sith safe while they searched for Ship. Meanwhile, the strike team's executive officer, Yuvar Xal, was plotting to overthrow Rhea and take command of the team for himself. Before he could execute his coup, the Meditation Sphere finally returned to the Sith.
Abeloth discovered Skywalker's location—along with his son, Ben Skywalker—to be Sinkhole Station, a small space station in the Maw, and Ship transported the surviving Sith there. Rhea led the strike team's ambush of the Skywalkers, and Xal initiated his coup during the battle. Due to Rhea's foresight, however, his betrayal failed, and he was killed by Khai, who was then captured by the Skywalkers. Khai escaped later during the battle; and as Ben prepared the Skywalkers' starship, the Jade Shadow, for flight, Rhea met up with Khai and the two remaining Sith. The other two were quickly dispatched by Luke, leaving only Rhea and her apprentice to duel him. The three fought on the turbolift that led to the hangar. As the lift's door opened, Rhea and Khai saw Ben in the Jade Shadow opening fire on Ship. Luke took advantage of their distraction and quickly killed Rhea, while Khai fled.
[edit] July 18, 2010 – Xecr Nist
Xecr Nist was a Human male Dark Side Adept serving Galactic Emperor Palpatine, who had been reborn in clone bodies after his death at the hands of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and his sister Leia Organa Solo. Soon after Palpatine's rebirth, Nist, along with another adept, Tedryn-Sha, accompanied him on an inspection tour of his new superweapon, the Galaxy Gun. During the tour, Palpatine was informed that two Dark Jedi members of his Dark Side Elite, Executor Sedriss, and Vill Goir, had been killed by Skywalker on the planet Ossus. To replace his fallen Dark Jedi, the Emperor empowered Xecr Nist and Tedryn-Sha with the dark side of the Force and named Nist his new Executor. Soon after that, Nist, along with the rest of the Dark Side Elite, was dispatched to the planet New Alderaan to kidnap the children of Leia Organa Solo, Jaina and Jacen, whom the Emperor wanted to turn to the dark side.
The Dark Jedi, however, failed their mission because of the interference from Luke Skywalker's Jedi. Four members of the Dark Side Elite were killed during the operation, and the Rebels stationed on the planet managed to escape with the Solo children. Returning from New Alderaan, Nist took possession of Bast Castle on the planet Vjun, while Palpatine used his Galaxy Gun to bring more and more planets under his rule. Soon, as a result of its genetic instability, the Emperor's clone body began to decay. In need for a gene sample taken from a Force-sensitive to make new clones, Palpatine sent Nist to capture several members of the Jedi-descended Ysanna tribe on Ossus. Xecr Nist completed this objective and took three Ysanna shamans to Vjun, but was followed there by Skywalker and his Jedi. After a brief battle between the Dark Jedi and their light side rivals, all members of the Dark Side Elite were killed, except for the Executor himself. Xecr Nist was captured by Skywalker and later died in a New Republic prison.
[edit] July 19, 2010 – Olin Garn
Olin Garn was a bounty hunter and freighter pilot who frequently contracted with Twin Suns Transport Services during the Galactic Civil War. While working for the Azzameen family, Garn developed a close friendship with Aeron Azzameen and soon became accepted as one of the family. By the time of the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY, Garn decided to join the Alliance to Restore the Republic, serving as a pilot in the Alliance Starfighter Corps. He remained in contact with the Azzameens, serving as their contact when Aeron's father, Tomaas, arranged to deliver a supply of bacta to the Rebellion. Soon after, Tomaas and his eldest son, Galin, were killed by the Galactic Empire, and the surviving family members declared traitors. When Tomaas's children, Aeron, Emon, and Ace, sought sanctuary with the Alliance, Garn vouched for the group and recommended Ace Azzameen for training as a starfighter pilot.
In the months leading up to the Battle of Endor, Garn was stationed aboard the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Liberty. During this time, he fought alongside Ace Azzameen in several missions, including the capture of the Imperial spy Kupalo, the rescue of several Bothan operatives whose ship had been detained by the Star Destroyer Accuser, and escorting the Star Cruisers Independence and Defiance as they rendezvoused with the Alliance Fleet near Sullust.
[edit] July 20, 2010 – CT-26-6958
CT-26-6958 was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. CT-26-6958 earned the nickname of "Hevy," due to being the heavy weapons expert on the Rishi station, a listening post located on the moon of Rishi, where he and other rookie clone troopers were stationed around 22 BBY. Under the command of Sergeant O'Niner, the group of clones maintained the listening post to warn the Galactic Republic fleet of any Confederate attacks in the Outer Rim and were present during a surprise Confederate attack on the station. BX-series droid commandos took over the Rishi moon base and fortified themselves inside.
Commander Cody and Captain Rex soon arrived at the base for a routine inspection. The clone officers met up with Hevy and the remaining clone troops and organized a plan to attack the droids. Upon taking over the base, Rex ordered the destruction of the listening post, and the clones collected liquid tibanna and explosives. Noticing that the remote detonator would not respond, Hevy offered to stay behind and fix the problem, while the other clones left the base through the ventilation shaft. Hevy was soon attacked by the battle droids and was only able to destroy some of them with his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon. His success came with sacrifice, however, as he opted to manually detonate the explosives, instantly killing himself, and destroying the droids and the listening post.
[edit] July 21, 2010 – Tauht
Tauht was a Human male who served as a Jedi Master during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Along with Jedi Masters Kit Fisto and Plo Koon, he was dispatched to the Separatist-occupied planet Khorm in order to secure the world's agrocite, a valuable ore used to exceptionally increase power to starfighters. Tauht participated in the Republic's initial assault on an Agrocite processing center, which was controlled by the native Khormai Warlord Unger Gout, who had aligned himself with the Confederacy.
The Republic forces captured the plant and established a base there, although Gout managed to escape. Hoping to minimize clone trooper casualties in the next battle, Koon and Fisto left to search for a Confederate weather-control station, which supposedly controlled storms above Khorm and was preventing the Republic from employing air support. Tauht was left in charge of the Republic station, which was soon attacked by the Confederate forces commanded by the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress. During the battle, Tauht and Ventress confronted each other. After a brief fight, Tauht was killed by Ventress, who used the Force to manipulate one of her lightsabers and stabbed the Jedi Master with it.
[edit] July 22, 2010 – Keshiri
The Keshiri were a near-Human sentient species native to the planet of Kesh. Powerfully-built, they had pale purple skin and silver hair. They were typically found to be very attractive by Human standards, although the two species were different enough biologically to be incapable of reproduction. The Keshiri were a very religious species; they worshiped gods known as the Skyborn, whom they believed had formed all of the land on Kesh, from which the Keshiri were born. The Keshiri religion and government was led by the Neshtovar, who believed in the importance of tradition and religion above science and technological progress.
In 5,000 BBY, a group of Sith crashed onto the planet in their starship, the Omen, after being knocked off course during a hyperspace jump. The Keshiri believed them to be the Skyborn and gave themselves over to lives of service to the Sith. Although the Keshiri eventually found that the Sith were not their gods, they continued serving them for thousands of years. By 41 ABY, the Keshiri had come to be seen almost as equals to the Sith, and several were accepted into the Sith Tribe, with at least one serving on the Circle of Lords, the Tribe's ruling council. Around the time of the Second Galactic Civil War, members of the Keshiri species were able to travel off-world for the first time in the newly-formed Sith armada.
[edit] July 23, 2010 – Generis
Generis was a high-gravity planet located in the Generis system of the Atrivis sector. It had rugged terrain and was covered with grassy plains and vast jungles. This natural beauty attracted offworld travelers keen to experience its wilderness. Prior to the formation of the Galactic Republic, the world was settled by the Rakata as part of their galaxy-spanning Infinite Empire. Following the collapse of their society, scattered temples were all that remained of their time on Generis. The planet was later settled by a mix of Humans and other species, as was another planet in the system, Atrivis 7.
The planet was within Separatist space during the Clone Wars, but remained neutral. During the Galactic Civil War, it became a hub of resistance against the Galactic Empire. Joint resistance forces in the Atrivis sector set up a centralized base in orbit over the planet before negotiating a treaty with the Alliance to Restore the Republic. As part of this accord, an Outer Rim Communications Center was constructed on the planet, protected by a small starfighter force. Generis became a strategic location for the Alliance, from where it coordinated forces stationed throughout the Atrivis sector. The base was later captured by the forces of Grand Admiral Thrawn during his sustained campaign against the New Republic. Eventually recaptured by the Republic, the base was again attacked, this time during the Yuuzhan Vong War. The assault by the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong invaders intent on conquering the galaxy destroyed much of the planet's surface, but when the Yuuzhan Vong were eventually defeated by the Galactic Alliance, the Generis Communications Center was restored to operating capacity.
