This subpage contains instructions on how to archive past Good article nominations. The archived votes can be found here.

Successful nominationsEdit

Once an article has five total supporting votes, including at least three votes coming from AgriCorps or Inquisitorius members—two of which must be an AgriCorps vote—and no outstanding objections after at least a week, the article can be officially known as a "good article." Alternatively, if a nomination receives a total of five AgriCorps/Inquisitorius votes—three of which must be AgriCorps votes—with no outstanding objections before one week has passed, after a minimum of 24 hours, the nomination will be considered successful. This table can be used to determine if an article is eligible to be removed from the Good article nominations page

  • Ensure that the AgriCorps approval template has been added. If not, add the following to the comments section:
~~~~~
  • Remove GAnom from article page and add "good" to Eras.
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when GAnom was added. The second date is the date that the article was given GA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the GA tick was added. For example, on Unidentified stormtrooper (suicide) the first ID is 3915732 and the second ID is 3954020.
  • Remove the appropriate transcluded nomination template from the GAN page.
  • Paste this into nom archive page (the "Good article" link that will appear in the above template):
  • Remove the "Good article nominations" category from the bottom of the archive page.
  • Add article to GAN history, giving start and end dates (yyyy/mm/dd) and outcome with link to archived vote.
  • Add article to Wookieepedia:Good articles. Once you do so, the article will automatically be added to the Main Page queue.
    • When adding article to Wookieepedia:Good articles, display it like Bob (naval officer) or Victorious (Acclamator-class), as opposed to Bob or Victorious
  • If the article was a Comprehensive article prior to becoming a GA, remove it from Wookieepedia:Comprehensive articles.
  • Paste this onto the user talk page of the nominator:
Failed nominationsEdit
Nominations may be removed by AgriCorps consensus under the following conditions:
  • Idle nominations with outstanding objections for two weeks
  • Nominations whose original nominator has not edited the wiki in a month or longer, provided no one else is willing to take up the nomination instead
  • Nominations may be closed prematurely if they fall below the required standard and cannot realistically be fixed, or otherwise require such extensive improvement as to render them impractical for the nomination page
Removing nominations under the preceding conditions requires the approval of at least 3 AgriCorps members and less than 2 opposed. Any nomination may be closed early at the request of the original nominator without the need for AgriCorps consensus.
Voting to removeEdit
To initiate a vote to remove a nomination, add the following under the GAN's comments section:
Vote to remove nomination (AC only)
The AgriCorps member who initiates the vote should state clearly why the nomination should be removed. All AgriCorps members should use the Acvote template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose removing the nomination.
Removing failed nominationsEdit
  • Remove the appropriate transcluded nomination template from the GAN page.
  • Remove GAnom from article page.
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when GAnom was added. The second date is the date that the vote was closed the corresponding ID is that of the revision when GAnom was removed.
  • Paste this into nom archive page (the "Failed good article nominee" link that will appear in the above template):
  • Remove the "Good article nominations" category from the bottom of the archive page.
  • Add article to GAN history, giving start and end dates (yyyy/mm/dd) and outcome with link to archived vote.
Overriding GAN objectionsEdit
AgriCorps members have the power to strike objections on the Good Article nominations page. A consensus of at least three AC support votes and no more than two opposed is required to strike an objection. Objections may be stricken under the following conditions:
  • An objection has been addressed by the nominator and the original objector has not responded for a week or longer
  • Additionally, GAN objections may be struck by an AgriCorps member (as well as by any admin) if they do not fall under one of the nomination rules. No vote is required.
To initiate a vote to override an objection, add the following under the GAN's comments section:
Vote to strike objection (AC only)
The AgriCorps member who initiates the vote should state clearly which objection needs striking and why. All AgriCorps members should use the Acvote template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose overriding the objection.
When the decision has been taken to override an objection, add the following as a comment under the objection, in addition to striking it:
~~~~~

GA status reviewEdit

The AgriCorps has the ability to strip an article of GA status.

ProbationEdit

With the approval of at least 3 AgriCorps members and less than 2 opposed, an article being considered for removal of GA status can be placed on probation as follows:

  • Add the following to the top of the article (if the article has been previously reviewed by the AgriCorps, use a new name for the parameter):

  • Follow the redlink in the above template and add the following to the page:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia &gt; Wookieepedia:AgriCorps &gt; PAGENAME</div>

Things to do
Removal of GA status
Comments
  • List the issues that need rectifying under "Things to do" and state the meeting at which the article was placed on probation under "Removal of GA status."

After a probation period of at least two weeks, a second AgriCorps vote is required to decide whether or not to remove GA status. This vote requires 3 AgriCorps members to agree on the outcome, with less than 2 disagreeing.

Keeping GA statusEdit

If GA status is kept:

  • Remove GAcleanup from article page
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was placed on probation and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when GAcleanup was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was taken off probation and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when GAcleanup was removed. For example, on Zayne Carrick the first ID is 1982312 and the second ID is 2059191.

}}

  • On the AgriCorps review page, state the meeting at which the article's GA status was kept under "Removal of GA status."

Removing GA statusEdit

If GA status is removed:

  • Remove GAcleanup from article page and change "good" to "fga" in eras
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was placed on probation and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when GAcleanup was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was stripped of GA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the GA check was removed. For example, on Missile Boat the first ID is 2056762 and the second ID is 2095534.

  • Replace GA with FormerGA on the talk page. A parameter can be used if the AgriCorps review page differs from the article name.
  • On the AgriCorps review page, state the meeting at which the article's GA status was removed under "Removal of GA status."
  • Remove article from Wookieepedia:Good articles.

Reduxing GAsEdit

If a GA is decided to undergo a review on the Redux page, do this:

  • Add the following lines to the bottom of the redux page:
Article name
*Redux comments: Reduxed per <meeting number>.
*Date added:  ,

(+0)
Support

Object

Comments
  • Add GAredux to the top of the reduxed GA. If the article is already under probation, replace GAcleanup with GAredux, changing the link to the review page to the link to the article's Redux entry.

Keeping GA status following ReduxEdit

When the article has received three supporting votes from AgriCorps members, do this:

  • Remove GAredux from the reduxed page.
  • Add the following code to the article talk page:
Ahh

  • Follow the link (which will be a redlink if the article wasn't on probation before it was reduxed) to the review page.
  • If the page does not yet exist (if it wasn't on probation before), add this to the page:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia &gt; Wookieepedia:AgriCorps &gt; PAGENAME</div>

<!-- write after this line, please -->
Article name
Removal of GA status
*Reduxed at <meeting number>. ~~~~
*Kept on  , . ~~~~

Redux review
Comments
  • If the review page already exists, just add the Redux review heading.
  • Copy the redux review from the redux page, and add it under the heading like this:
Redux review
redux review goes here
</div>
  • Remove the review from the redux page.

Removing GA status following ReduxEdit

If the article fails Redux review due to three weeks' inactivity on objections or removal at an AgriCorps meeting, do this:

  • Remove GAredux from article page and change "good" to "fga" in Eras.
  • Add the following code to the article talk page:
Ahh

  • Follow the link (which will be a redlink if the article wasn't on probation before it was reduxed) to the review page.
  • If the page does not yet exist (if it wasn't on probation before), add this to the page:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia > Wookieepedia:AgriCorps > PAGENAME</div>

<!-- write after this line, please -->
Article name
Removal of GA status
*Reduxed at <meeting number>. ~~~~
*Removed on  , . ~~~~

Redux review
Comments
  • If the review page already exists, just add the Redux review heading.
  • Copy the redux review from the redux page, and add it under the heading like this:
Redux review
redux review goes here
</div>
  • Remove the review from the redux page.

Striking items from the meeting agendaEdit

To remove an item from a future meeting agenda, a consensus of four ACs is needed. This can be achieved via IRC or using the meeting page itself. If you use the meeting page, format it like this:

*Article - update needed. --ExampleUser1
**Updated. --ExampleUser2
***Vote to remove article from meeting agenda (AC only)
***Acvote ~~~~

When four ACs have signed, the article can be struck from the agenda.
