Contents

[edit] Successful nominations

Once an article has five supporting Inquisitor votes and no outstanding objections after at least a week, the article can be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article." To place an article on the FA queue:

 • Ensure the Inquisitorius approval template has been added. If not, add the following to the comments section:
~~~~~
 • Cut nom from FA page (save it somewhere, since it'll be pasted later).
 • Ensure that the queue has an entry for the appropriate day. The entry should be of the form:
January 1, 2010 – Article Name
clear
 • Copy intro and image, paste into appropriate page by following the next available redlink on the queue. Turn the bolded article title into a link. Align the image (if applicable) to the left, at a size of 150px.
 • Remove FAnom from article page and add "featured" to eras
 • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when FAnom was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was given FA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the FA star was added. For example, on Maarek Stele the first ID is 1547634 and the second ID is 1574797.
Featured
{{Ahm
 • Paste this into nom archive page (the redlink in the above template):
[edit] Failed nominations
Nominations that are inactive with outstanding objections for a month can be eliminated from the nominations list by the Inquisitorius. FANs can be closed prematurely if they fall below the required standard and cannot realistically be fixed. Doing so requires a quorum of at least 5 Inquisitors approving the removal of the nomination, and less than 2 opposed. Any Inquisitor can prematurely close a FAN without the need for a vote if it is requested by the nominator.
[edit] Voting to remove
To initiate a vote to remove a nomination, add the following under the FAN's comments section:
Vote to remove nomination (Inq only)
The Inquisitor who initiates the vote should state clearly why the nomination should be removed. All Inquisitors should use the Inqvote template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose removing the nomination.
[edit] Removing failed nominations
To remove a failed nominee from the FAN page:
 • Cut nom from FA page (save it somewhere, since it'll be pasted later).
 • Remove FAnom from article page.
 • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when FAnom was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the vote was closed the corresponding ID is that of the revision when FAnom was removed. For example, on Massacre at Ossus the first ID is 2053906 and the second ID is 2086487.
{{ahm
| date = Nominated date
| oldid = Nominated ID
| process = FAC
| result = Failure
 • Paste this into nom archive page (the redlink in the above template):
 • Paste nom after that.
 • Add article to FAN history, giving start and end dates (yyyy/mm/dd) and outcome with link to archived vote.
 • Remove the article from the Triage page.
[edit] Overriding FAN objections
Inquisitors have the power to strike objections on the Featured Article nomination page provided the objection has been addressed and the original objector has been absent for at least a week after an "objection addressed" comment is left on the FA nom page, but only with a quorum of at least 5 Inquisitors approving the removal of the objection, and less than 2 opposed. Additionally, FA objections can be struck by an Inquisitor (as well as by any admin) if they do not fall under one of the rules. No vote is required.
To initiate a vote to override an objection, add the following under the FAN's comments section:
Vote to strike objection (Inq only)
The Inquisitor who initiates the vote should state clearly which objection needs striking and why. All Inquisitors should use the Inqvote template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose overriding the objection.
When the decision has been taken to override an objection, add the following as a comment under the objection, in addition to striking it:
~~~~~

[edit] FA status review

The Inquisitorius has the ability to strip an article of FA status.

[edit] Probation

With the approval of at least 5 Inquisitors and less than 2 opposed, an article being considered for removal of FA status can be placed on probation as follows:

 • Add the following to the top of the article (if the article has been previously reviewed by the Inquisitorius, use a new name for the parameter):

 • Follow the redlink in the above template and add the following to the page:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia &gt; Wookieepedia:Inquisitorius &gt; PAGENAME</div>

<!-- write after this line, please -->
Article name
Things to do
Removal of FA status
Comments
 • List the issues that need rectifying under "Things to do" and state the meeting at which the article was placed on probation under "Removal of FA status".
 • If the article is due to be featured on the main page within the probation period, rearrange the FA queue to move it back.

After a probation period of at least two weeks, a second Inquisitor vote is required to decide whether or not to remove FA status. This vote requires 5 Inquisitors to agree on the outcome, with less than 2 disagreeing.

[edit] Keeping FA status

If FA status is kept:

 • Remove FAremove from article page
 • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was placed on probation and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when FAremove was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was taken off probation and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when FAremove was removed. For example, on Zayne Carrick the first ID is 1982312 and the second ID is 2059191.

 • On the Inquisitorius review page, state the meeting at which the article's FA status was kept under "Removal of FA status".
 • Change the header on the Inquisitorius review page to:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia &gt; Wookieepedia:Inquisitorius/Archives &gt; PAGENAME</div>

[edit] Removing FA status

If FA status is removed:

 • Remove FAremove from article page and change "featured" to "former" in eras
 • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was placed on probation and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when FAremove was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was stripped of FA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the FA star was removed. For example, on Missile Boat the first ID is 2056762 and the second ID is 2095534.
ahh

 • Replace Featured with FormerFA on the talk page. A parameter can be used if the Inquisitorius review page differs from the article name.
 • On the Inquisitorius review page, state the meeting at which the article's FA status was removed under "Removal of FA status".
 • Change the header on the Inquisitorius review page to:
<div style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">Wookieepedia &gt; Wookieepedia:Inquisitorius/Archives &gt; PAGENAME</div>

[edit] Updating queue and history

The queue and history pages need to be updated once a week as articles are featured on the main page:

 • Cut articles featured in the current week from the top of the queue and paste them to the end of the history.
 • Add the previous week's FAs to Wookieepedia:Featured articles/Random in alphabetical order.
 • Update the templates for the next week's FAs (for example Wookieepedia:Featured article queue/Week 37, 2008/0) to reflect any changes to infobox image and intro since the article was placed on the queue.
 • Ensure that the FAs for the following week have links to recently featured FAs:
Recently featured: Previous day &ndash; Day before that &ndash; Day before day before that
