  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Era tagsEras tags will only be used on "non-timeless" articles, such as characters, ships, and only on known appearances, not presumed eras of appearance. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 18:32, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/FAN rule amendment – Consensus was to amend FA rule 5 to "...following the review process, it is stable, i.e., it does not change significantly from day to day and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars. This does not apply to vandalism and protection or semi-protection as a result of vandalism." Graestan(Talk) 22:35, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Mofference results
    • Consensus was to keep the Knowledge Bank with some conditions: that it is stressed on the forum page that only verifiable answers may be given; that "KB" be automatically added to the names of each Knowledge Bank thread that is created (as well as "CT" to Consensus Track, "SH" to Senate Hall, and "NB" to Administrators' Noticeboard) in order to easily identify KB threads on the RCs; and finally that any users who take exception to the Knowledge Bank may leave it to be dealt with by those who are more willing.
    • Consensus was to advertise the policy and consensus updates page on the sitenotice from time to time as well as to add a link to the updates page to the new user welcome message as well as the Monobook sidebar.
    • Wookieepedia:Userbox proposal – It was decided to kill this page, as its function has steadily decreased over time. In its place, a more updated guide to making custom userboxes will be created.
    • It was decided to create both a header template as well as a sectional template in order to warn users of potential conflicting sources with regards to impending conflicts dealing with Star Wars: The Clone Wars
    • The addition of a "recently featured" link to the FA space on the Main Page in anticipation of the one-FA-per-day system's arrival was approved.
    • Consensus was not to relax the featured article rules in cases where a "Personality and traits" section would be somewhat difficult.
    • There was no consensus as to whether collapsible appearances for television episodes should be allowed.
    • It was decided that interviews should not be publicized off the site for now.
    • Consensus was to allow the creation of similar contests to Coolest Thing Ever or Lamest Thing Ever, as well as a more competitive contest involving Good article nominations.
    • There was no consensus as to whether family fields should be added to character infoboxes.
    • There was no consensus on whether eras tags should be used for when the subject appeared in canon sources, or it can be conjectured that the subject existed in the time period.
    • Consensus was to keep hair and eye color as infobox fields; no consensus on skin color as an infobox field.
    • Consensus was to add CT to the Monobook sidebar.
    • Consensus was to Add links establishing Firefox as the "official browser" of the site for ease of viewing.
    • It was decided that there should be a good article removal/review process, to be hashed out later in consensus threads.
    • Starting with the set of nominations currently on the page, good article nominations will have to have five support votes in addition to the nominator's vote for quality assurance, similar to the current FAN system.

  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Droid article layoutNo consensus was reached. In droid articles, either "Personality and traits," "Characteristics," or "Personality and programming" is an acceptable section title, and no restriction has been placed on new titles for similar sections. Graestan(Talk) 13:28, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] July 22, 2008

  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Quote lengthConsensus was to restrict quotes in articles to below ten lines of dialogue (not lines of text), and preferably much less. Particularly long statements/speeches/soliloquies should not be quoted as part of a dialogue, but may be quoted individually. Graestan(Talk) 12:10, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Character infobox changes (multiple votes) – The result was No consensus to adopt any of the proposals for any of the proposed changes. The result was:
    • Titles and ranks — Characters names are to be used only. The last known title or rank is not to be used.
    • Relations fields — these are not to be added or used in infoboxes.
    • Consolidating character templates — the current character templates/infoboxes will stay as is, and no efforts at consolidating them will be done.
    • Booting the eras field — split vote. The era field system will stay as is in our infoboxes.
    • Removal of bullets — writers are allowed to continue using bullets to organize lists in infoboxes. Greyman(Talk) 00:27, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

  • CT: Forum:SH Archive/"Gallery must die" revisited – The result was that in those few instances where in-article galleries are proved to be useful, as with book articles and cover galleries, etc., they are allowed to be used. This CT was not an attempt to overturn or revert the deletion of gallery pages which was decided through previous consensus votes. Greyman@wikia(Talk) 01:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
  • CT: Forum:SH Archive/Manual of style: Citing forum posts – The result was no consensus to proceed with an MoS change. When referencing forums in articles, it is suggested that the writer chose to use a consistent form for how they present forum posts titles in references; however, there is no consensus on establishing a hard layout that writers must follow. Greyman@wikia(Talk) 01:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
  • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Re-FAs on the main page – The result was that former featured articles that achieved featured status before 29 January 2007 (the date the Inquisitorius were created) will be added to the queue to appear on the Main Page when, and if, their status is restored. • CT: Forum:CT Archive/Unnamed, unknown, nameless – Consensus to use "unidentified" with no category piping for articles without a known, canonical name. Example: "Unidentified Blue Blob" as the title and [[Category:Blobs]] for the category. The title starts with "unidentified," and the lack of piping in the category means, by default, it is categorized under "U" in the "Blobs" category. —Xwing328(Talk) 18:09, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

  • CT: CT Archive/Spoiler policy—Decided that a spoiler is considered a spoiler up to and until one month after the official US (or country of origin's) release date of the particular product. Therefore, any new information from said source must contain a spoiler tag until one month has passed since the product's release.
  • CT: CT Archive/User template—Decided to handle Template:User as follows:
  1. Bring back the user template. (Previously passed)
  2. No consensus on number of redlinks pointing to a userpage before using the template.
  3. Amend Denial of Recognition policy.
  4. Do not subst the template.

  2. Remove Infinities content from main article body.
  3. Keep ambiguous Tales content in main article body.
  4. No consensus on whether to remove ambiguous Polyhedron, etc., content from main article body.

  • CT: RFA Rule 5—Decided that RFA Rule 5 should be reworded to require "major article contributions" instead of "major article creations".

[edit] October 17, 2007

  • CT: Non-licensed art by officially licensed artists—Decided that only published, licensed images can be used within in-universe sections of articles for canonical subjects.
  • CT: Sentient vs Sapient—Decided that the term "sentient" should generally be used instead of "sapient" in an article's text, and should always be preferred in headings.
