8. OK, I can agree that maybe this isn't OR, as Silly Dan pointed out, however, I fail to see any reason why this list should be kept. It serves absolutely no purpose. I suppose that I could agree to the creation of a category, as suggested by Esjs. Cylka^-talk- 21:33, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

10. Maybe not exactly OR, but pointlessly trivial. Show me some sort of legitimate IU connection between all of these planets having the same suffix and then we can talk. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:38, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
    • An example of this would be planets that begin with "Ord," like Ord Mantell, Ord Pardron, which are all established to be Ordnance/Regional Depot planets. This is a legitimate naming connection. -ooine and -aan planets have no such connection. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:52, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

1. I wouldn't call this original research: original research would creep in if the article explicitly assumed there was some sort of connection beyond the name. Maybe some of you think the very existence of the list does that implicitly, but I don't. —Silly Dan _(talk) 19:55, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
2. I stand by my original opinion: "I think this and its sister list have merit. There are a lot of planets ending in this suffix, enough that it appears to be more than mere coincidence. While it's fanwankery to suggest WHY such a large number of planets with this ending exist, it's not fanwankery to collect them all in one place, and such information is useful for the curious.       • I think it's too late, but I'll talk to some users on IRC and see what they think. Anyway, as I said, this list borders on OR, but yes, I can see how it's not that close. In response to the idea that these two lists are pointless, I'm crossposting this from the other TC thread: "I don't think it's pointless. While there is currently no explicit in-universe connection between these worlds, the repeated use of this ending certainly implies one, and anyone running across Taloraan and Endoraan after already knowing Alderaan is likely to wonder what other planets follow this convention. Having their names all in one place also lets our users engage in comparative research: How many are known to be in the Slice? Do they share any geological or climatological characteristics? I see these lists as no less useful than many of our articles (I can much more easily see a user asking "How many -aan planets are there?" than asking "what is bread, anyway?"; and the user would certainly learn more reading the former than the latter)." jSarek 00:40, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
