*I feel like I need to clarify what this article was meant to represent. Yes, the Rebel base which serves as the setting to the finale of the Hoth mission is indeed Echo Base, that much is clear. However, before you reach it through the underground passage, there is another outpost that you pass through at the very start of the mission. It's not identified as part of Echo Base, and since it is located quite a distance away from the main base, I assumed it to be one of the outer Rebel outsposts akin to Echo Station 5-10 and the likes. If we do assume that the outpost is part of Echo Base, than the whole level doesn't really make sense. Jaden finds Echo Base, leaves it, and goes to search for an underground passage to enter it again. <span style="font-variant: small-caps; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px"><span style="color:#9ACD32;">QuiGonJinn</span></span> (Talk) 18:33, November 27, 2014 (UTC)

Unidentified Hoth Rebel outpost (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

Both the Jedi Academy game guide and Hoth: Under the Ice identify the Hoth Rebel base from the Jedi Academy game as Echo Base. I'm not sure why this article was ever created. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:08, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

  2. If it's identified, then this article is obviously a useless duplicate. Definitely delete. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:10, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

    • While a CSD wouldn't have been out of the question here, I find it's usually better to Trash-compact in most cases like this. Not only does this voting forum show the article creator exactly why he was mistaken in creating the article, but it also gives us something to point to should someone else make the same mistake in the future. In addition, it provides an opportunity for someone to show me that I'm actually the one mistaken in nominating this article for deletion. I've never played this game, so maybe there's something I'm missing. Maybe there was a satellite base in the game that was different from Echo Base, for example. Unilateral action might feel good, but it's not always the best practice. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:01, November 20, 2014 (UTC)
