WookieeProject Aliens is a WookieeProject intended to help organize and improve the articles on sentient species. Come join us! You can comment in the Forum with any suggestions you may have.

[edit] Project goals
Our main goal is to make sure Wookieepedia is a reliable and excellent source of information about any and all Sentient species in the Star Wars universe. Though it is realized that not every such article will be able to be made into WP:FA or WP:GA, the goal for those articles is still to make them as complete and comprehensive as possible.
Editors may also encounter numerous organizations on Wookieepedia that are currently categorized as sentient species without canon making this clear. When such articles are found, they should be moved to Category:Undefined social groups instead.

If you would like to contribute, please add your name to the infobox.

- Write balanced and without POV.
- Do not add any speculation to an article.
- Write about whatever interests you, but try and help out with the current main focus as well.
- If the Manual of Style and Layout Guide are prohibiting you from contributing your best, ignore them! The editors will help you.

- Make sure articles have flawless grammar and spelling.
- Fix articles to comply with the Manual of Style and Layout Guide.
- Fix templates and excessive links.
- Source quotes.
- Search for new items for the "Appearances" and "Sources" sections of an article.
[edit] Article guidelines
Article Design
There are some guidelines for the organization of species articles within the Wookieepedia. Ideally, they are organized into four main sections:
- Biology and appearance deals with the physical characteristics of the species. This includes descriptions of both their physical, instinctual and mental abilities, with particular emphasis on unique factors.
- Society and culture deals with the sociological organization of the species, including such features as language, temperament, and family and societal structures.
- History deals with the major events in the history of the species. This includes such events as wars, discovery by the galactic community, and other important epochs.
- [Species] in the galaxy provides an overview of the species involvement in the galactic community with particular emphasis on species trends and notable individuals. Depending on the available information, this section in particular may be incorporated into the earlier sections.
Each of these four sections may be further subdivided as appropriate.

Template:Sentient should be added to all articles on intelligent species where enough information is known to fill more than a couple of fields. Since it's an auto-hiding infobox, fields should be left empty or simply omitted rather than filled with "unknown." Template:Species is for non-intelligent creatures only.
Use the template by pasting the following code into the top of the article, filling all relevant fields:
