The Battle of Hsskhor was a battle fought during the New Sith Wars between the Brotherhood of Darkness and the Galactic Republic. In 1,003 BBY, the Brotherhood, seeking to gain a foothold in the Mid Rim, captured the planet of Kashyyyk. The surviving Republic soldiers fled to the neighboring world of Trandosha. The Brotherhood sent twenty units of troopers in pursuit, and caught up to the Republic forces outside the city of Hsskhor. After a day of fighting with no definitive victor, the two sides retreated to opposite sides of the battlefield as the sun set only to find themselves under attack by the native Trandoshans. The Trandoshans, who were not allied to either side, attacked both factions, causing heavy losses. However, with the help of reinforcements, the Sith were able to defeat the Republic, and the city of Hsskhor was razed to the ground. Read more...

Even though Dessel was tired from working six hours in the mines, he defeated Gerd after having a flash of Force precognition. This skirmish took place in 1,002 BBY during the New Sith Wars. In that year, Sergeant Dessel of the Gloom Walkers, a unit in the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness, was arrested by Lieutenant Ulabore for mutiny during the Battle of Phaseera, despite the fact that Dessel had gone on to lead the Sith forces to victory. This caused the troopers of the Gloom Walkers to feel dissent toward Ulabore. Shortly after, while on patrol on Alaris Prime, the unit was ambushed by Republic forces. Casualties were heavy on both sides, but the Republic troops were soon forced to retreat. Over the course of the battle, Ulabore was shot and killed by Lucia, a trooper in his unit. - "Take me with you. I want to learn. I can learn."
"I have no use for a slave. And I already have an apprentice."
- ―Marka and Finn[src]
Finn was a Human male Sith Master who operated as a terrorist during the final years of the New Sith Wars. During his tenure as Sith, he trained a young man as his apprentice. Finn and his pupil traveled to a planet and planted a bomb in a building. After concluding business with an individual, they destroyed the building and proceeded to the landing pad where Finn's starship was located. When Finn's apprentice killed the Toydarian slave owner Lod in order to free the female Marka, Finn rebuked the young man. The pupil informed Finn that Marka was Force-sensitive, but the Sith Master—who was already aware of this—ordered his pupil to deal with her. As he boarded his ship, the apprentice and Marka arrived at the landing bay, and she begged Finn to take her so that she could learn the Sith ways. Finn replied that he already had an apprentice, and Marka killed the young man in order to take his role as Finn's pupil. Finn accepted her, demanding absolute loyalty from the young woman. "She tried a Force mind trick on you? Did you not sense it when they approached? The Force is powerful with her."
- ―The male Sith apprentice and Finn[src]
This Human male served as Sith Master Finn's apprentice during the final years of the New Sith Wars. He traveled to a planet with Finn and helped him plant a bomb in a building. After concluding business with an individual, they destroyed the building and proceeded to the landing pad where Finn's starship was located. On the way to the ship, the apprentice murdered the Toydarian slave owner Lod in order to free the endentured female Marka, who was being abused by the Toydarian. Finn promptly rebuked the young man for this act of compassion. After he was struck by Finn, Marka helped him up and attempted to use a mind trick to convince the apprentice to take her with the two Sith. He informed Finn, who was already aware of Marka's connection with the Force, and was instructed to deal with her. However, he did not deal with Marka, and later met Finn at the Sith Master's ship along with the woman. Ayanos Bactra was a male Quermian Sith Lord who ruled a region in the Grumani sector during the Republic Dark Age. While most of his Sith neighbors fought against each other, Bactra avoided battles and established himself as an arms dealer, using corporations as a means by which he could expand his influence. In 1,032 BBY, Bactra made a deal with the Sith Lord Daiman, whereby he would supply Daiman with an arxeum—a type of mobile university dedicated to the study of war sciences—in return for Daiman allowing him access to the world Vellas Pavo, which was competing with Bactra's superconductor interests. Bactra traveled to the planet Gazzari with a small fleet and handed over an arxeum to Daiman's forces. However, Daiman's grandmother, Vilia Calimondra, sent a message to Daiman and his brother, Odion, ordering them to turn on Bactra. The two brothers sent their forces to attack Bactra's holdings, and, within a few days, Bactra's empire had fallen. Read More...

- "Exceptional times call for exceptional measures. One such measure came when the Republic turned to Jedi for political leadership. Jedi Chancellors such as Your Grace have served to guide both the Republic and Order through many a storm."
- ―Jedi Master Vannar Treece, in a report sent to Chancellor Genarra[src]
Genarra was a female Jedi Master who served as the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and the leader of Jedi Order during the New Sith Wars, circa 1,032 BBY.
