[edit] Nuvo Vindi

(Taken to GA by Dark Lord Trayus on April 22, 2009; current FA)

"One can never have too many lab rats."
―Dr. Vindi[src]

Nuvo Vindi was a male scientist employed as a medic by the Perma families until he went missing in 32 BBY. Reappearing on Naboo as a Confederacy of Independent Systems scientist during the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy, he became obsessed with recreating the eradicated Blue Shadow Virus, a deadly water-borne plague that resulted in instantaneous death.

In 22 BBY, Vindi was not only able to re-engineer the virus, but also create an airborne strain he planned to release in key Republic star systems. His plot was discovered by Naboo politicians Senator Padmé Amidala and Representative Jar Jar Binks, who then contacted the Jedi Order for assistance. Vindi's laboratory was attacked shortly thereafter by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Knight Anakin Skywalker, Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and the clone troopers of the 501st Legion. The virus was released during the resulting battle, but a cure was quickly found by Kenobi and Skywalker on the planet Iego, and the threat was negated. Vindi was then taken to the galactic capital Coruscant for trial. (Read more...)

[edit] Raid on Ziro the Hutt's Coruscant club

(Taken to GA by JMAS on April 23, 2009; current FA)

"Threepio, get help! I'm being held by Ziro the Hutt!"
―Senator Padmé Amidala[src]

The raid on Ziro the Hutt's palace took place on the galactic capital of Coruscant during the Clone Wars. After Senator Padmé Amidala informed her protocol droid, C-3PO, that she had been captured and detained at Ziro the Hutt's palace for discovering the Hutt's affiliation with Count Dooku, leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the droid contacted the Coruscant Guard, who sent a team, led by Clone Commander Fox, to storm the palace with the primary objective of rescuing the senator.

The raid saw the successful rescue of Amidala and the capture of Ziro. Using Ziro's comm equipment, the senator was also able to communicate with Jabba the Hutt, who had been ignoring communications from the Republic during this time due to his mistaken belief that the Republic intended to wipe out his entire clan, allowing her to prove that the Republic was not plotting against Jabba by exposing Ziro's hand in the true plot against him, masterminded by Dooku. This assurance permitted the forging of a treaty between the Republic and Jabba's clan, allowing Republic forces safe passage through Hutt Space, giving them access to the Outer Rim Territories, which had been cut off by the Separatists. [edit] Shiv (clone trooper)

(Taken to GA by Kilson on May 3, 2009)

"Hey, get that. Ol' Shiv has the shivers. Heh."
―Shiv, in a letter to Flanker[src]

Shiv was the nickname of a clone cold assault trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. During the war between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems, Shiv enjoyed writing to fellow clone trooper Flanker, even after Flanker's death during the Battle of Christophsis. In 22 BBY, Shiv and his squad were assigned to Glid Station on the ice planet of Orto Plutonia to field-test an assortment of subzero gear. While on the planet, his squad encountered an elusive and dangerous species they nicknamed the "ice men". The creatures killed any of the clone patrols they encountered. Shiv and his commander, Mag, were later killed by the ice men while inspecting one of the station's outer sensors. After this, the rest of the clones stationed in Glid Station, along with all the battle droids at the nearby CIS base, were killed by the "ice men".

The Republic later sent a task team lead by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, along with Chairman Chi Cho and Senator Riyo Chuchi from the orbiting moon of Pantora, to investigate what had happened to Glid Station. The Jedi's research found that the "ice men" were actually a colony of Talz. They also discovered that the Talz had been attacked by the Separatists, and in the resulting conflict, the Republic base was caught in the middle. (Read more...)

[edit] Cham Syndulla

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on May 7, 2009)

"You sing a song of a legend. I'm just a soldier, Gobi."
―Cham Syndulla[src]

Cham Syndulla was a male Twi'lek from Ryloth. Before the Clone Wars—the galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems—began, Syndulla held tensions with the Republic and with Ryloth's Twi'lek senator, Orn Free Taa. Syndulla mistrusted Taa, believing him to be lazy and indifferent to the fate of the Twi'lek people. In turn, Senator Taa mistrusted Syndulla, believing that Syndulla sought power using his reputation amongst the people.

After the Clone Wars had begun, Techno Union Foreman and Separatist Council member Wat Tambor invaded Ryloth, and Syndulla led the Twi'lek freedom fighters against the Separatist droid forces on the plains of Cazne. Even with the death of many Separatists, Syndulla was forced to retreat, and his fighters set up camp in the remains of several destroyed droid vehicles. After Jedi Master and High General Mace Windu arrived on the planet with Republic forces to liberate it by retaking the capital city of Lessu, Syndulla resolved his issues with Senator Taa, entered into an alliance with the Republic, and helped Windu to retake the city and capture Tambor. [edit] Cad Bane

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on May 10, 2009)

"I'm in control. I make the rules now."
―Cad Bane to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine[src]

Cad Bane was a male Duros born on the planet Duro, who rose to be a bounty hunter during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Bane worked for the highest bidder, and would not hesitate to turn against his original employer if his quarry offered him more credits. Because fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett—considered to be the galaxy's best—had been killed during the opening battle of the war, Bane rose to be one of the top bounty hunters in his time.

In 22 BBY, Ziro Desilijic Tiure—a Hutt crime lord based on the galactic capital of Coruscant—was arrested after he assisted the Confederacy Head of State and Sith Lord Count Dooku in a plot to kidnap the son of his own nephew Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Ziro was desperate to escape, and Bane was employed to break the Hutt out of prison. Bane assembled a team of hunters to capture members of the Galactic Senate and force Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to free Ziro. After entering the Senate Building on Coruscant and taking the senators hostage, Bane and his team encountered Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Skywalker was captured, and Bane was successful in freeing Ziro from prison.

Later working for Count Dooku, Bane stole a holocron containing information on potential Force-sensitive infants. Bane kidnapped the infants and brought them to the planet Mustafar, where Darth Sidious, Dooku's Sith Master, planned to use them for his own purposes. (Read more...)

[edit] Ballad of Cham Syndulla

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on May 16, 2009)

"Don't shrug off your role. The minstrel's song outlasts any truth, Cham. It holds more energy than any mere blaster bolt, for it cannot be stopped by a warm body."
―Gobi Glie to Cham Syndulla, on the power of a legend[src]

The Ballad of Cham Syndulla was a song written around 22 BBY by the Twi'lek minstrel Gobi Glie on the planet Ryloth during the Clone Wars. It honored Twi'lek Cham Syndulla, who formed and led the freedom fighters, a group of his supporters, to combat against the Confederacy of Independent Systems after its invasion and subjugation of Ryloth. [edit] Battle of Phu

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on May 28, 2009)

"We are still analyzing the data from the attack, but we can confirm that General Ares Nune's task force did encounter enemy forces on patrol."
―A Republic starfleet official reports on the battle[src]

The Battle of Phu took place around 22 BBY during a Galactic Republic patrol of the Phu system by Jedi General Ares Nune and Clone Commander Kite. The Confederate warship Malevolence was also in the system, under the command of General Grievous, and quickly eradicated Nune's fleet of three Venator-class Star Destroyers with its ion cannons. Following the attack, High Jedi General Plo Koon took a task force of several cruisers to find and destroy the Confederate weapon. (Read more...)

[edit] Kite

(Taken to GA by Kilson on May 28, 2009)

"I just hope whatever it is we're facing is planetside, sir. I'd rather die with dirt, not deckplates, under my boots."
―Kite[src]

Kite was the nickname for a clone trooper commander in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. In 22 BBY, he was assigned to the Venator-class Star Destroyer Laudable under the command of the Phuii Jedi General Ares Nune. Nune's forces had been dispatched to the Phu system to patrol for any Separatist activity in the area. While Kite was talking to Nune on the bridge of the Laudable, the task force was attacked by the Malevolence, a Confederacy warship equipped with two giant ion pulse cannons on each of its sides. Under the command of Confederacy General Grievous, the Malevolence destroyed the shields of the entire fleet with the ion cannons. After doing so, the ship proceeded to destroy Nune's entire task force, using its turbolasers to obliterate the exposed ships, and eliminating General Nune, Kite, and their forces. (Read more...)

[edit] Battle of Ryndellia

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 2, 2009)

"So much for the Jedi escort!'"
―General Grievous[src]

The Battle of Ryndellia was a space battle that took place around 22 BBY in the Ryndellia system. A Galactic Republic medical convoy under the command of clone troopers and Jedi, comprised of several Pelta-class frigates and a Venator-class Star Destroyer escort, was passing through the system. The convoy was ambushed by the Confederate Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence, under the command of General Grievous. The Confederate warship eliminated the Republic transports with its laser guns, and the warship neutralized the power of the final fleeing frigate with its ion cannons. On Confederate Head of State Count Dooku's orders, the Malevolence headed to attack an Outer Rim Republic medical center, treating over 60,000 wounded Republic clones. (Read more...)

[edit] Battle near the Kaliida Nebula

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 4, 2009)

"Anakin, were you able to contact Master Luminara?"
"Yes, master. She's busy with a fleet of Separatist reinforcements nearby. She won't be able to give support until she's turned them away."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker[src]

A battle took place near the Kaliida Nebula around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. Jedi General Luminara Unduli engaged Confederate reinforcements that had been dispatched to aid the Confederate warship Malevolence, which had suffered damage after an an attack by Galactic Republic forces nearby the nebula. Unduli was able to successfully dispatch her opponents. (Read more...)

[edit] Senate hostage crisis

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 11, 2009)

"Let's let the scavengers clean this up. Our business is on Coruscant."
―Cad Bane, shortly after the death of Davtokk[src]

Around 22 BBY, Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane organized and led a raid on the Republic Executive Building, located on the galactic capital of Coruscant. Bane sought to force Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to issue a pardon for Hutt crime lord Ziro Desilijic Tiure, who had previously been arrested and imprisoned in the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center for his role in the Confederacy kidnapping of his great-nephew Rotta. Bane gathered together a team of bounty hunters, including the Jedi hunter Aurra Sing, the Weequay Shahan Alama, and the piscine technician Robonino, as well as several Confederate droid commandos and sentinel droids. After arranging a test for his team, in the form of combating fellow bounty hunter Davtokk, the Duros deemed his team ready for their mission.

The team infiltrated the Executive Building; disposing of multiple Senate Commando guards, the hunters proceeded to capture several senators during a conference regarding the Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill, a piece of Galactic Senate legislation. After Robonino shut off the building's power, trapping Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Senator Orn Free Taa in Palpatine's office, Bane issued an ultimatum to the Supreme Chancellor: Ziro was to be released, or the senators would be executed. Unbeknownst to Bane, the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker was still in the dome, having been visiting his secret wife, Senator Padmé Amidala. However, the Jedi was unarmed, and after a struggle, he was knocked out and captured.

Bane ordered Senator Taa to take a pardon disc to the prison in order to release the Hutt; after Ziro was released, the hostages would be released. Taa reluctantly complied, escorted to the prison by the sentinel droid 3D, and Ziro was freed, returning to the Executive Building with the droid. As a final piece of leverage against Palpatine, Bane and his team set up a system of lasers around the senators—that would trigger explosives with the slightest touch—and left the building. As the bounty hunters tried to escape, clone troopers of the Coruscant Guard arrived to apprehend the team, but the hostages allowed the bounty hunters to escape with the Hutt. Bane remotely activated the explosives as payback for the indignities Ziro had gone through during prison. However, a revived Skywalker was able to cut a hole around the senators, and all of them dropped into the room below seconds before the explosives went off. (Read more...)

[edit] Mission to Rugosa

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 11, 2009; current FA)

"Retreat, you must. On the moon below is my mission. There, I must go."
―Yoda to Captain Zak[src]

The Mission to Rugosa was an operation that took place around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. The Galactic Republic and the Jedi High Council sought to build a base in the Outer Rim Territories for further combat against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and Grand Master Yoda was dispatched with a convoy of clone troopers to the coral moon of Rugosa to engage in diplomatic negotiations with Katuunko, the King of Toydaria. However, the Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress arrived first to negotiate with Katuunko on behalf of the Confederacy and its Head of State, Count Dooku. The Republic convoy was ambushed by several Confederate frigates, but Yoda was able to land on the moon in an escape pod with several clones.

Ventress posed a challenge for the Jedi: she would send her best battle droid forces to capture him, and if he defeated the droids, Toydaria would be given reason to ally with the Republic. Should Yoda fail, Toydaria would join the Confederacy. Yoda accepted the terms, and he and the clone shock troopers Lieutenant Thire, Jek, and Rys separately combated the droids. The three clones defeated a squad of B1 battle droids, but Yoda arrived to rescue the clones from a squad of oncoming B2 super battle droids. After escaping, the four took refuge in a cave, where the Jedi Master imparted his wisdom upon the clones to inspire their efforts.

Yoda defeated several Confederate droid squads and three Armored Assault Tanks single-handedly, and Ventress broke the terms of the competition, dispatching droideka reinforcements to eliminate the Jedi. However, Thire launched a rocket and caused an avalanche, crushing the droids. With the Confederacy's attempt at a treaty foiled, Dooku ordered his apprentice through a hololink to assassinate Katuunko. Yoda and the clones arrived in time to stop the attempt, and Ventress was forced to activate pre-planted explosives to cause a rockfall and escape. Yoda was able to stop the rubble, and Katuunko promised his planet's service to the Republic, before departing aboard an LAAT/i gunship with the Republic diplomatic forces. (Read more...)

[edit] Mission to suspected Confederate space

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 12, 2009)

"I'll sweep the outer corridor while the rest of your ships focus on the center."
"Are...you sure you want to go it alone?"
"I'm sure. More than one fighter would just draw too much attention."
―Anakin Skywalker and Captain CC-7567[src]

Jedi General Anakin Skywalker of the Galactic Republic undertook a mission to scout ahead in an area of suspected Confederate space around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. Skywalker was accompanied by a replacement astromech droid, R3-S6, as his original droid, R2-D2, had been lost previously during the Republic's defense of the planet Bothawui. However, Skywalker was unaware that R3-S6 was a spy working for the Confederate General Grievous. Once the Jedi arrived in the target area in his starfighter, R3-S6 alerted Grievous to Skywalker's presence, and the cyborg general ambushed the Jedi with several Munificent-class frigates. Skywalker engaged Grievous's forces, but the Jedi was able to escape with the aide of his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, and Clone Captain CC-7567, when they arrived and rescued him with Skywalker's personal ship, the Twilight. [edit] Laudable

(Taken to GA by Kilson on June 12, 2009)

Rys: "There goes another one, I think it's the Laudable."
Jek: "Hmrm."
Rys: "That's General Ares' ship, isn't it?"
Jek: "Hmrm."
Clone troopers Rys and Jek[src]

The Laudable was a Venator-class Star Destroyer in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. Around 22 BBY, the Laudable was dispatched from the Republic's galactic capital of Coruscant, under the command of the Phuii Jedi General Ares Nune, to patrol the Phu system for Separatist activity. While on patrol, the Laudable's task force—consisting of at least two other Star Destroyers—was attacked by the Malevolence, a Confederate warship equipped with two ion pulse cannons on each of its sides. Under the command of the Confederate General Grievous, the Malevolence took down the shields of the entire Republic fleet with its ion cannons. After doing so, the Malevolence proceeded to destroy Nune's task force, including the Laudable, using its turbolasers to obliterate the exposed ships. (Read more...)

[edit] Defender (Venator-class)

(Taken to GA by Kilson on June 14, 2009)

"I decided the only way we can break the blockade is if I pilot the Defender right into their battleship and take out their commander."
"What?"
"This way, I'm the only one at risk. Besides, the Defender is damaged already."
―Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano[src]

The Defender was a Venator-class Star Destroyer that served in the Grand Army of the Republic's navy during the Clone Wars, between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Around 22 BBY, the planet of Ryloth was seized by the Separatists, and a large Confederate fleet, under the command of the Neimoidian Captain Mar Tuuk, was placed over the planet to blockade it. The Defender was part of the Galactic Republic's task force of three Venator-class cruisers to eliminate the Confederate blockade, led by the Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, along with the cruisers Resolute and Redeemer.

Upon the arrival of the Star Destroyers in the Ryloth system, Tuuk was able to lure the Republic forces into a trap, and Tuuk's summoning of Confederate reinforcements forced the cruisers to retreat, but not before the Resolute and Defender had sustained damage. The Redeemer was destroyed altogether under heavy fire. Regrouping, Skywalker devised a plan to pilot the heavily damaged Defender into Tuuk's lead ship, leaving Tano to command the Resolute and eliminate the remaining frigates in the blockade. Skywalker and the astromech droid R2-D2 piloted the Defender into the system, and put the Defender on course before fleeing in an escape pod. With the blockade down, the Republic's invasion forces, commanded by High Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu, were eventually able to liberate the planet. (Read more...)

[edit] Mag

(Taken to GA by Kilson on June 23, 2009)

"You're supposed to be bunking out. I want you wide awake when it's my turn to snooze."
―Mag to Shiv, on the latter being awake[src]

Mag was the nickname of a clone cold assault trooper commander in the GAR during the series of wars fought between the Galactic Republic and the Separatists. Around 22 BBY, he and his squad were stationed at Glid Station, a Republic outpost on the ice planet of Orto Plutonia. Mag and his squad were assigned to field-test an assortment of subzero gear, including the CK-6 swoop bike. However, the squad was beset by many problems, including an elusive and deadly sentient species that they encountered, which the squad nicknamed the "ice men." The "ice men" killed any clone patrol they encountered, leaving no witnesses. One night, Mag and a clone trooper under his command, Shiv, were attacked and killed by the "ice men" while inspecting one of the station's outer sensors. After the death of Mag and Shiv, the remaining clones stationed at Glid Station were killed by the "ice men," along with all the battle droids at the nearby CIS base. The Republic later sent a search party to Orto Plutonia to investigate what had happened to Glid Station. The party discovered that the "ice men" were in fact a colony of Talz that had been attacked by the Separatists. In the resulting conflict, the Republic base was caught in the middle of the fighting between the two factions. (Read more...)

[edit] Shahan Alama

(Taken to GA by Jonjedigrandmaster on June 23, 2009)

Bane: "What happened? Where's the droid?"
Alama: "The droid's gone. But there's good news: the Jedi's unarmed."
Bane: "What?"
Alama: "It doesn't look like he has his lightsaber."
―Alama, reporting back to Bane during the raid on the Senate[src]

Shahan Alama was a male Weequay bounty hunter active during the Clone Wars. Alongside bounty hunters Aurra Sing and Robonino, Alama was recruited by Duros hunter Cad Bane to capture the mercenary Davtokk. The three worked together successfully, incapacitating Davtokk, and Bane, impressed with their teamwork, formed the three into his new posse. The bounty hunters then traveled to the galactic capital of Coruscant to attempt to free the Hutt crime lord Ziro Desilijic Tiure from prison.

During the raid, the bounty hunters captured several Senators, holding them hostage in the Senate Building to force Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to free Ziro. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker was present in the Senate Building, however, and attempted to foil the bounty hunters' plan. Alama, Sing, and Robonino managed to find and incapacitate Skywalker. Palpatine agreed to free Ziro, and after the Hutt was released, the bounty hunters escaped with Ziro, leaving a system of explosives in the atrium to keep the Senators as leverage for their escape. [edit] Davtokk

(Taken to GA by JMAS on June 23, 2009)

"Such fighting spirit, Davtokk. Almost commendable, if you were successful."
Cad Bane[src]

Davtokk was an ambitious male bounty hunter operating during the Clone Wars. Around 22 BBY, he was invited to the planet of Keyorin for a job interview with Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane, though he actually intended to collect the bounty on Bane's head. When he arrived at the appointed meeting place, Davtokk drew his blaster and shot the Duros, but was dismayed to find he had merely destroyed a droid decoy. Realizing he was in danger, Davtokk narrowly evaded attempts by two different bounty hunters to capture him before being shot through the leg by Aurra Sing, yet another hunter. As he lay sprawled on the ground, Bane approached and revealed that the ordeal had been a test to see how well the other three bounty hunters would work together. Their success meant the death of Davtokk as Bane put a blaster to his head and fired, ending his life. (Read more...)

[edit] The Clone Wars: Procedure

(Taken to GA by Kilson on June 23, 2009)

Anakin: "If it's a matter of datawork, you'll find my droid has uploaded all the forms that you'll need into your system."
Gran worker: "No, no... it's a matter of procedure! These requests are supposed to come from Senator Ask's office."

While on patrol, he and Clone Commander Kite began to discuss the mission on the bridge of Nune's flagship, the Venator-class Star Destroyer Laudable. However, while they were talking, the task force was attacked by the Malevolence, a Confederate warship equipped with two giant ion pulse cannons. Under the command of the Confederate General Grievous, the Malevolence disabled the shields of the entire Republic fleet with its ion cannons and proceeded to destroy the entire task force. Nune and Kite were killed, along with everyone else in the fleet. (Read more...)

[edit] Mission to the Vulture's Claw

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on June 30, 2009)

Kenobi: "What? He's still programmed with our tactics and base locations? If the Separatists get ahold of him... What possessed you not to erase that droid's memory?"
Tano: "Master Obi-Wan, sometimes Artoo having that extra information has come in handy."
Kenobi: "Well, then find that droid, Anakin. Our necks might very well depend on it."
Skywalker: "Right away, Master."
—Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker, on R2-D2[src]

Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, undertook a mission around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars to find Skywalker's astromech droid, R2-D2, who had recently been lost in the planet Bothawui's asteroid belt during the Galactic Republic's defense of the planet. The Jedi were accompanied by a replacement droid, R3-S6, unaware that the droid was a spy for the Confederate General Grievous. Skywalker and Tano searched the planet's asteroid belt in the Twilight, Skywalker's personal ship, and came upon the Vulture's Claw, Trandoshan scavenger Gha Nachkt's freighter. Nachkt had salvaged R2-D2 from the battlefield and promised him to Grievous in exchange for credits. The scavenger concealed R2-D2 from the Jedi and showed them his wares, but after R3-S6 activated several IG-86 sentinel droids, Skywalker and Tano fought and defeated the assassin droids. The Jedi left the Vulture's Claw, remaining unaware of Nachkt's arrangement with Grievous. (Read more...)

The Gran initially refused their request due to a matter of procedure, but the worker gave in when Tano threatened to tell Supreme Chancellor Palpatine that he had delayed the Jedi. (Read more...)

[edit] Battle of Falleen (Clone Wars)

(Taken to GA by CC7567 on July 1, 2009)

"Grievous has only delayed his pursuit of you. A few hours ago he picked up two more cruisers and coordinated attacks on three separate fronts. It's bad, Anakin. We've lost the battle group at Falleen."
Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Anakin Skywalker[src]

The Battle of Falleen took place around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. A Confederate fleet under the command of General Grievous attacked the planet Falleen, and a Galactic Republic battle group—including eight Jedi and numerous clone troopers—attempted to defend the planet. The Republic forces, however, were completely eradicated. Grievous deployed ground troops to seize the planet, but the droids were unable to get past the shields of a fortress belonging to the planet's Falleen king. The Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress infiltrated the fortress and defeated the king's bodyguards, at which point the Falleen king himself tried to kill her; however, Count Dooku had also infiltrated the fortress. He subdued the king, forcing him to deactivate the fortress' shields, allowing the Confederacy to capture the planet. (Read more...)

"A good Neimoidian makes his opportunities."
―The Neimoidian captain[src]

This male Neimoidian served as the captain of a Confederate Munificent-class star frigate patrolling near the planet of Florrum in the Outer Rim Territories during the Clone Wars. Following bounty hunter Cad Bane's rescue of the Republic prisoner Ziro the Hutt on the galactic capital of Coruscant circa 22 BBY, Bane's Weequay accomplice, Shahan Alama, took a Flarestar-class ship and headed for Florrum to escape from the Republic. The Neimoidian captain ordered his frigate to open fire on Alama's craft, and, moments later, had squadrons of droid starfighters deployed to combat a Republic LAAT/i gunship spotted in the area. "Perhaps a different strategy. We need to take more time and plan."
―The navigation officer, to Ahsoka Tano[src]

This clone trooper was a naval officer stationed aboard the Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute. Around 22 BBY, the Star Destroyer joined a fleet under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Admiral Wullf Yularen—the cruiser's deck officer—to eliminate a Confederate blockade surrounding the planet of Ryloth. After the Resolute's first attempt failed, the navigation officer conferred with Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano and Clone Captain CC-7567 on a strategy for a second assault. During the planning, the clone accidentally let slip his doubt in Tano, and remained uncertain with Tano's plan of employing a risky Marg Sabl maneuver. However, Tano's strategy proved successful and ultimately allowed the Republic to invade and liberate Ryloth. (Read more...)

[edit] Redeemer (Venator-class)

(Taken to GA by Kilson on July 13, 2009)

"We lost a cruiser, the Redeemer."
―Anakin Skywalker[src]

The Redeemer was a Venator-class Star Destroyer that served in the Galactic Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Around 22 BBY, the planet Ryloth was seized by the Separatists, and a large Confederate fleet, under the command of the Neimoidian Captain Mar Tuuk, blockaded the planet. Upon the arrival of Skywalker's fleet in the Ryloth system, Tuuk was able to lure the Republic forces into a trap. ―Anakin Skywalker, to his Padawan as he leaves for the Bormus Testing Facility[src]

The Bormus Testing Facility was a space station run by Koensayr Manufacturing that orbited the planet of Bormus. During the Clone Wars, the facility was used to build and test the BTL-B Y-wing starfighter for the Galatic Republic. Around 22 BBY, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker asked Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for permission to use the Y-wing starfighters against the Separatists' new weapon, the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence. However, his request was denied because the fighters needed at least another three weeks of testing. Skywalker decided to personally travel to the Bormus Testing Facility—along with his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, and several of his clone pilots—and obtain the Y-wings himself. After convincing a Gran who worked at the facility to allow him to access the fighters, Skywalker and his pilots were allowed to leave with the Y-wings. (Read more...)

"Gentlemen, it appears the son of Drol lives."
―Jaybo Hood, to Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi[src]

A mission to the Thicket took place around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. After helping to liberate the Hutt prisoner Ziro Desilijic Tiure from Republic custody on Coruscant, the sentinel droid-turned-bounty hunter HELIOS-3D became based in the Thicket, a patch of space over Iego that housed the remains of a previously destroyed Separatist laser system. As the assassin droid's amassing army of battle droids began to cause disturbances, the Jedi Order received a request for help, and Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived on Iego to investigate the strange happenings.

Meeting with Cliffhold resident Jaybo Hood, the Jedi sent a probe droid into the Thicket. However, the recon droid was reprogrammed by HELIOS-3D and collided with the clone pilot Torrent Four, killing the pilot and sparking an aerial skirmish between Republic fighters and HELIOS-3D's droid forces. The sentinel droid was defeated, and the Jedi searched the droid hunter's disabled frigate before departing. However, HELIOS-3D himself was able to secretly transfer his consciousness into a B1 battle droid. (Read more...)

"Not going to be easy getting to those guns, sir."
"There is always a way, Wooley."
―Wooley and Commander Cody — (audio)Listen (file info)[src]

"Wooley" was the nickname of a clone trooper who served in the 212th Attack Battalion's Ghost Company, under High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. When the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an invasion of Ryloth, Kenobi and the 212th were sent to liberate the planet. After landing, Wooley and his unit were tasked with eliminating the Confederate proton cannons defending the city of Nabat so that the Republic transports could land. After destroying the city's outer Confederate defenses, Wooley accompanied Clone Commander CC-2224, nicknamed "Cody," and fellow troopers Waxer and Boil, to scout ahead.

Cody and Wooley went to investigate Nabat's central courtyard and discovered that the Twi'leks of the city were being held by the Confederate battle droids to serve as "living shields" surrounding the artillery. After reporting their findings back to Jedi Masters Kenobi and Mace Windu, Wooley and his company moved out. Meanwhile, Waxer and Boil—with the help of the young Twi'lek Numa, who they had encountered on their own patrol—had found a way to free the captives; while Wooley and and his fellow troopers created a diversion, Kenobi, Waxer, and Boil freed the Twi'lek prisoners and destroyed the proton cannons. The main body of Republic troops was able to land on Ryloth and eventually liberate the planet. (Read more...)

The Confederate General Grievous led the Separatist Droid Army to attack Felucia, and High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, and Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano were dispatched with a clone trooper detachment of the Grand Army of the Republic to defend the world on the Republic's behalf. The Jedi and their forces soon began to be overwhelmed by the Separatist battle droids, however, and Republic reinforcements were sent to extract the troops from the planet. While Republic Star Destroyers engaged the Separatist blockade surrounding Felucia, Jedi Master Plo Koon led several LAAT/i gunships and their starfighter escorts to rescue the Jedi and clone troopers on the surface.

After Skywalker, Kenobi, and their troops abandoned their AT-TE walkers to escape on the gunships, Kenobi contacted Tano, who had led a squad on a jungle patrol and had separately engaged the droid army. Though Tano initially refused to retreat, the gunships landed between her forces and the droids, forcing the Padawan and her squad to abandon their fight and escape. Just as the gunships retreated, the AT-TE walkers and the Juggernaut tank that Tano had left behind were blasted apart by a large group of battle droid reinforcements. The Republic retreated, leaving the Confederacy victorious on Felucia. (Read more...)
