A mission to the Thicket took place around 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. After helping to liberate the Hutt prisoner Ziro Desilijic Tiure from Republic custody on Coruscant, the sentinel droid-turned-bounty hunter HELIOS-3D became based in the Thicket, a patch of space over Iego that housed the remains of a previously destroyed Separatist laser system. Meeting with Cliffhold resident Jaybo Hood, the Jedi sent a probe droid into the Thicket. However, the recon droid was reprogrammed by HELIOS-3D and collided with the clone pilot Torrent Four, killing the pilot and sparking an aerial skirmish between Republic fighters and HELIOS-3D's droid forces. "We had Jedi with us on Tibrin. They helped."
―Commander Cody and Captain Rex[2]
The Battle of Tibrin of 22 BBY was a failed Galactic Republic attempt to oust the Confederacy of Independent Systems' military presence from the planet Tibrin during the Clone Wars. The native Ishi Tib populace had previously welcomed the arrival of Separatist leader Count Dooku and his cadre of Dark Acolytes, who executed Suribran Tu—the planet's unpopular, pro-Republic premier—and overthrew his totalitarian regime. Consequently, the Ishi Tib aided the Confederacy when Jedi and clone troopers from the Grand Army of the Republic came to retake Tibrin. The result was a catastrophic Republic defeat, with Tibrin retaining its Separatist ties. Many of the clone soldiers who survived the battle, including Commander Gree of the 41st Elite Corps, adopted a hairstyle called the double stripe to honor their fallen comrades. (Read more…)

"Good, Captain, the enemy is advancing toward the prison level."
"We're on our way."
―CC-1004 and the captain — (audio) Listen (file info)[12]
A Clone Captain was a human clone trooper officer who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance. In 21 BBY, the clone was stationed aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility as part of Green Company with the military rank of Clone Captain. Following the capture of Separatist ally Viceroy of the Trade Federation Nute Gunray, a skirmish took place aboard the Tranquility as Separatist forces attempted to rescue the viceroy or silence him.

The captain participated in the skirmish by securing the Star Destroyer's engine room alongside another clone trooper, but both failed to detect Separatist agent Asajj Ventress. After checking in with Clone Commander CC-1004, both the captain and the accompanying clone trooper moved to the prison level, allowing Ventress to sabotage the reactor of the vessel and disorienting the crew. The skirmish ultimately culminated in the successful Separatist rescue of Gunray. (Read more…)

"Your bridge will allow us to freely move weapons and troops across this planet—another victory for the Separatist cause. You lose, Kenobi. And now you and your men will die here, alone on this frozen tundra."
―Grievous on Caliban[23]
Caliban was an Outer Rim moon with a frigid climate. Its snow-covered frozen tundra, mountains, and ravines were home to the Qubey species. In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars, Caliban was the site of a battle, in which the Separatist General Grievous captured Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and his clone troopers and took the Jedi's lightsaber.

To comply with the Separatists' demands, the Jedi and his forces began rebuilding a lunar ice bridge that Grievous had destroyed during his invasion of the moon. However, with the help of the Qubey, Kenobi reacquired his lightsaber from the cyborg. After the bridge's completion, Kenobi confronted Grievous in a lightsaber duel and used the Force to bury the Separatist in an avalanche. As he and his troopers left the moon on a gunship, the Jedi ordered the destruction of Caliban's lunar ice bridge so their enemies could not benefit from it. (Read more…)

Ipsium
"It is tremendously valuable when refined. However, in its raw state, the mineral is highly combustible, liked a primed thermal detonator."
―Tech to Omega, on the qualities of ipsium[26]
Ipsium was a mineral found on the planet Ipsidon. It was highly volatile and combustible in its raw form, requiring a specific tool to extract, but was incredibly valuable once refined into a fuel source. The mineral was extensively mined by the Techno Union corporation during the Clone Wars, with several areas designated to mining across Ipsidon, while a spaceport served as a thriving hub for the ipsium industry until it was abandoned.

Between 19 BBY and 18 BBY, the gang boss Mokko took over one of the Techno Union's refineries after they were forced out and continued the operation, selling ipsium to feed his miners while claiming it had degraded and hoarding the true profits and food rations for himself. Mokko's lies about the ipsium and actual income were discovered by the clone commando mercenaries Clone Force 99 after their job to mine ipsium had gone awry, and the group's shuttle was stolen by the miner Benni Baro, revealing it to his workers and ultimately killing the gang boss, allowing the workers to take over his operation.
