The Destruction of Otoh Sancture was an attack on the Gungan city of Otoh Sancture on the planet Naboo during the war that had broken out between the various tribes of the amphibious Gungan race that took place sometime around 3000 BBY. Before its destruction, Otoh Sancture had been a peaceful city and its leader, Boss Gallo, had taken a pacifist stance in the war and refused to fight other Gungans. However, this concerned Boss Rogoe, the Gungan Boss behind the war, who believed that if Gallo joined the fighting he would drastically change the tide of it. To ensure this would not happen, Rogoe ordered a colony of bursas, a dangerous semi-sentient species native to Naboo, to destroy Otoh Sancture and kill Gallo. However, Gallo happened to be away from the city on a hunt for animals for the Sacred Feast, a Gungan thanksgiving celebration, when the bursas arrived and destroyed the city. Gallo observed the attack from afar, mourning the loss of his city without the knowledge of who was responsible. He then retreated into the forests and discovered that it was Rogoe who had destroyed his city, prompting him to raise a small army to take Otoh Sancture's ruins back from the bursas, beginning his campaign to destroy Boss Rogoe, unite the Gungans, and bring peace to Naboo. The pilots flew back down to the planet and attacked the base, which consisted of multiple platforms spread throughout the area. The pilots were ambushed when the base reactivated and had to destroy a wall of airborne mines to proceed further into the base. The group fought through the complex, facing the base's defenses, before blowing up the deflector shield generator protecting the command center, which allowed Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes to land and steal a gunboat to use as a decoy. ―Dax Gazaway, broadcasting Knire Dark's race antics[src]

Knire Dark was a Syboona female smuggler and Podracer pilot, hailing from the Outer Rim planet Syboona. Dark was active during the final decades of the Galactic Republic, during which she used the sport of Podracing as a front for her illegal smuggling activities around 24 BBY. Although it was merely a ploy, she held enough racing skill with her Serabyss Howler 1165 to promote herself as the track favorite for the Ballast Complex racetrack on the watery planet of Mon Calamari, despite her lack of any actual speed records for the course. Her smuggling career was later uprooted by 22 BBY when Republic authorities raided a contraband storehouse of hers. (Read more...)

―Fud Sang[src]

A male member of a diminutive species, Fud Sang was an inmate at a maximum-security detention center known as Desolation Alley, located on the Outer Rim planet Oovo IV. While incarcerated around 32 BBY, during the final decades of the Galactic Republic, Sang was considered a mediocre pilot at best. Nevertheless, the prison warden, Fenn Booda, occasionally granted Sang the opportunity to participate in Podraces that Booda hosted in the prison, which provided the inmates a form of entertainment. Piloting a BRE Block6 Tri-Ram Podracer, Sang managed to garner intimate knowledge of one of the planet's courses and became quite successful there. Sang's success eventually led him to being allowed to race on the ice world Ando Prime, where his improving piloting skills also acquired him popularity. (Read more...)

―Slide Paramita, taunting other pilots[src]

Slide Paramita, a Ciasi male, was a professional Podracer pilot who operated around 32 BBY. Haughty and persnickety, he disapproved of other Podracer pilots who used large, overpowering machines. Instead, he relied on only a small Pizer-Errol Stinger 627 S and his own cunning to win races. Though his craft was delicate, it responded well on turns and proved to be a great asset to him on the galaxy's twistier courses. He became the crowd favorite on the Ando Prime Centrum, a fairly large course on the snowy world of Ando Prime, which was known for its narrow, serpentine corridors and tight turns. (Read more...)

"I sense trouble… gundarks are approaching!"
―Qui-Gon Jinn alerts the Wookiees to the gundark attack[src]

A command center built by members of the Wookiee species on the moon Alaris Prime was attacked by four predatory gundarks sometime between 39 BBY and 36 BBY. The command center was one of the early Wookiee bases on Alaris Prime during their colonization effort there, and prior to the attack, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn had been instructing five Wookiee workers on techniques for gathering various resources. After a short period of time, the gundarks found and attacked the command center, but the workers retreated into the building and fired at the creatures with its turret, killing all of them. The Wookiee colonists later launched an attack on the gundarks' nest in order to exterminate them. (Read more...)

A male member of a sentient humanoid species, "Bullseye" Navior performed in Podraces throughout the galaxy during 32 BBY. With a reputation as one of the more honest racers on the course, he piloted a narrow Irateq RQ 550C Dart Podracer, a craft that was known for maneuvering around obstacles that would swiftly destroy larger Podracers. The Dart's burst of speed and agility discouraged the use of dirty tactics, such as sabotage or weapons, to gain an advantage. Navior performed well on the planet Aquilaris, scoring record times on the Sunken City racecourse. (Read more...)

Tutorial 1 gundarks attack
"Gundarks! They're attacking the camp!"
―Qui-Gon Jinn[src]

Sometime between 39 BBY and 36 BBY, on the moon Alaris Prime, four predatory gundarks attacked a camp built by the Wookiee Chieftain Attichitcuk. Shortly before the attack, a large number of Wookiee colonists had arrived on Alaris Prime to settle there, and Attichitcuk, who was their leader, had begun exploring the moon and had set up the camp as their first base. Attichitcuk remained alone at the camp for a short time until his nephew Shoran and son, Chewbacca, fellow leaders of the colonists who were being guided by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, arrived to assist him. At the same time, the gundarks began their attack on the camp, forcing the three Wookiees to fight and kill them. After the attack, the colonists explored Alaris Prime further and later successfully colonized it. (Read more...)
