jSarekEdit

SupportEdit

  1. For all of the reasons stated last month. Long overdue. Master Jonathan (Council Chambers) Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 01:18 UTC
  2. IFYLOFD (Floyd's crib) 01:34, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Voted for him last month. He gets it again. :) Keep it up Sarek. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 13:48, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  4. This is such a hard choice for me. Fred and Nayayen are both abundantly deserving of this. But jSarek has more years at Wookieepedia under his belt than both of them combined. And this is looooong overdue. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:00, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Korsa3 23:12, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
Master N'Kata Del Gormo 06:56, February 14, 2011 (UTC) (Vote struck per policy: not enough mainspace edits -- CC7567 (talk) 07:03, February 14, 2011 (UTC))

ANR03282/25/11 - 18:35 (UTC) (Vote struck per policy: Fewer than 50 mainspace edits and failure to meet productivity requirement -- Master Jonathan (Council Chambers) Friday, February 25, 2011, 18:40 UTC)

  • Something I wrote last month but decided not to publish yet: I agree with Menkooroo, but I do think the WotM is about awarding someone who has been doing something substanial or otherwise noteworthy recently, like, in last few months. And as you said, he's been "awarded" for his massive work in longer timespan with bureucrat status. I just don't see the point for "everybody estamblished user has to be WotM just for being an estamblished user" tendency I see on this. –Tm_T (Talk) 10:43, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
    • I agree. I remeber reading someone saying that they didn't think Bella'Mia deserved to be WotM just yet because she had only had an "editing spike" in the past few months, and that, if I remember correctly, that spike may have been prompted by her many (failed) nominations. (I think that I read somewhere that Bella'Mia said that she didn't even know she had been nominated until she finally won.) I myself believe that if somebody who has nothing on their user page does a lot of great work in a small number of months and contributes very rarely other times should still get WotM if their work was the best in the previous month(s). Wookieepedian of the MONTH sounds, to me, like whoever has done exceptional work in a recent month, and not like someone (just) popular and experienced. Im not tracking jSarek's contributions, so this may not apply to him, but if someone's editing patterns have not changed, why should they be the Wookieepedian of A month? Are there guidelines about what counts as deserving? Does it matter if someone has recently done a lot of outstanding work or if they are just really nice? Or are we just all expected to decide for ourselves with common sense?WIERDGREENMAN 00:35, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
      • I think each user can determine their own criteria for voting. For me, the most recent month's work by a particular user may be a factor, but it's not the most important one. I almost voted for jSarek because of his perpetually level-headed contributions to CT and SH threads. The guy's very smart and is able to make a cogent argument in favor of policies likely to benefit the site; that's something too. In other words, the emphasis placed on the word month is entirely up to each voter. ~ SavageBob 16:48, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
        • I will say that I err on the side of active fresh faces for WOTM, even as it would be long overdue to give jSarek a WOTM. Though I have seen his dance moves. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:05, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Master FredceriqueEdit

SupportEdit

An extremely friendly user who is spearheading WookieeProject Real World Music, our only major OOU project at this time. Fred has multiple nominations on the status article pages and is working well with Inquisitors and AgriCorps to refine what is basically a new form of article. A here-and-now guy who gets along with everyone, aggressively even, Fred is quite involved with the site's processes. Graestan(Talk) 01:44, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
I don't want to invalidate my reasons for nominating Fred by striking them, but I have to go with Nayayen for a few reasons listed below, the main one being I didn't know he hadn't won WOTM yet. Graestan(Talk) 03:01, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  1. You gotta love jSarek and Nayayen, but Fred has a work ethic and spirit of decency that can't be denied. He's trying (basically single-handedly) to bring real world music articles up to a quality that Wookieepedia can be proud of. Have there been bumps in the road? Undoubtedly. But that never stopped him. He's really the first person to try to improve the individual theme and track articles, and he deserves a shout out for the work he's put forth. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 03:12, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  2. He helped me out with Zuckuss. I'm returning the favor with a vote. Trak Nar Ramble on 06:25, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  3. His (virtually solo) work on music articles is diligent and quality and I hope he keeps at it. The Main Title will be on the main page someday soon thanks to his efforts. NAYAYEN—it appears to be a frammistat 21:16, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Fred has come out of no where and is spear-heading a particularly difficult WookieeProject nearly by himself. OLIOSTER (talk) 22:43, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Wow, three awesome choices this month! I've decided to go with Fred on this one, since he's shown a lot of spirit and determination in pioneering a new type of article, and I think he's going to keep getting better. Good work, monsieur! ~ SavageBob 16:16, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  6. To the (almost) one-man musical army! Bonslywizard Naboo (Send a transmission) 15:48, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
  7. His musical work is always high-quality. He's running a project almost entirely alone, and it's a very difficult one. It's good to see someone working so hard on OOO articles, because frankly, the rest of us seem to avoid them as much as possible. Holocron Greatholocron (Complain) 07:36, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
  8. For his work on OOU articles. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 04:28, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

NayayenEdit

SupportEdit

  1. As a valuable contributor to WookieeProject Knights of the Old Republic, Nayayen has written three Featured Articles, six Good Articles, and two Comprehensive Articles. On top of that, he is an active reviewer of nominated articles, and has been very helpful with uploading images. Nayayen is friendly towards other users, and I've never seen him involved in any conflicts whatsoever. His contributions speak for themselves. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 02:54, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Holy smokes, this guy hasn't won yet? I seriously thought he already had, otherwise I'd have nominated him a while back. Nayayen's Johnny on the Spot with KotOR images; in doing so he helps fill a huge void left by Redemption. This is a person you can go to with requests and he's friendly and always happy to assist. Graestan(Talk) 03:01, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  3. …really? Well, it's about damn time for Nayayen being WotM. 1358 (Talk) 12:38, February 1, 2011 (UTC)

  6. I firmly believe regular users should be recognized before admins, since adminship is basically our highest form of recognition. Fred is definitely a rising star, but Nayayen is overdue for this. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:34, February 2, 2011 (UTC)

  9. Per Grae. Chack Jadson (Talk) 00:28, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
  10. While jSarek and Fred are also deserving, I feel that it's Nayayen's time. Seriously. :P CC7567 (talk) 06:34, February 4, 2011 (UTC)
  11. I thought he already had it. He should have gotten this a while ago.Darth Lecan (Tell me something)Sith Emblem 01:07, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
  12. Add me to the list of people astounded that Nayayen hasn't won this yet. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 01:28, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
  13. A real rising star. Friendly, helpful, good at writing articles, and more! Menkooroo 16:33, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
