Wookieepedia talk:Administrators
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
I will attempt to wookify this page to the best that I can. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:54, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Why don't we call our admins something like Clone Sergeants or something?--Gangsta-Easter-Bunny 15:19, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, why would we call them clone sergeants? Administrators is fine. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

How about Supreme Chancellors, Fatguy2006 15:33, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, they're more of Senators. Whoever founded the site could be Supreme Chancellor. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

I would suggest that the Bureaucrats be renamed as Baron Administrators, for obvious reasons. Blackhawk003 06:31, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I...
...I know I have not been here for six months, but is there anything I have done that doesn't make me admin material?--SWME 19:30, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- An admin must be an active contributor whose edits improve the quality of the wiki. You have made very few edits to pages in the main article space: you've mostly posted in the forum and to a handful of talk pages. Becoming an admin is not something we just hand out automatically to every user who's been here long enough without being banned: admins are meant to be long-term active users who know their way around the site, and are willing to work on improving it with high-quality contributions, site-wide improvements in policy, etc. —Silly Dan (talk) 20:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. But as you probably know, I know I'm not admin material.--SWME 00:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Non-admin input
Is it allowed for non-administrators to help with some of the tasks listed? I'm considering making myself eligible for adminship, and I'd like to try and put in a little work if I may. This sort of touch-up work's right up my alley, anyway.Jwebb13HoloNet

- Except for deleting articles and blocking accounts (and doing 1-click rollbacks), there's nothing an admin can do that a regular user can't. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 02:54, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
I've started categorizing pages, but I don't know how to remove them from the list of articles that need categorizing, as it won't allow me to purge or edit the special page that lists uncategorized articles. Jwebb13HoloNet

- That page will update itself eventually. Category:Categoryless is another place you can check. Articles are added there using {{category}}. 04:15, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Age?
Is there an age limitation?--Herbsewell 22:06, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- This is undergoing a vote right now. See Forum:Admin Age. —Xwing328(Talk) 23:14, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Minor request
Since the page is locked, i cant add an interwiki link. It would look like this:
[[fi:Jedipedia:Ylläpitäjät]]
And second, in the rollback section, you use "blue" as the font color in the fake " [rollback] " button. The code could be changed to
"<font color="#002bb8">rollback</font>"
The result would be: [rollback]
