[edit] Chancery
Does Daniel Wallace really use the word "Chancery" (normally the building or office in a building) instead of "Chancellery" (normally the political office)? Ulic 07:23, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia says: "A Chancellor's office is called a chancellery or chancery." So either one really. Also I don't see what Dan Wallace has to do with anything. --MarcK [talk] 07:32, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Palpatine?
I think that Palpatine should be a featured article on here! It is a really good article, and I think that it deserves some credit! It really does take a good and detailed look at the man and his actions. Without this article, we would be stuck with less detailed articles and analyses on the Emperor, and we cannot afford that.--70.124.132.176 00:26, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- It already was a featured article. And only registered Wookieepedians can vote. -- SFH 00:34, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Featured Articles
I think you should make some of the Star Wars movies featured articles. Like perhaps Episode IV since it's the first Star Wars in the OT. ShadowLaguna 22:21, 28 December 2006 (NZT)
- If you feel that one of the movie articles deserves Featured Article status, you can nominate it on the Featured Article page. - breathesgelatinTalk 17:24, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding images and intros in the queue
Recently, there has been a move to copyedit some of the intros and images used on the queue/front page. Traditionally, the images and intros follow the model on the FA's page, which have been approved by a process in our community. (Indeed, the intros are often an object of much discussion/revision when an article goes through an FA nomination.) If you want to copyedit the intro, you should copyedit on the article's page as well as in this queue. Also, you should leave enough background information for those unfamiliar with the wider Stars Wars galaxy to understand the intro. I'm also not a huge fan of changing images willy-nilly; specific shots are in the infobox and approved for FA status for a reason. I fear that if we start changing queue images around because one "looks better" we're going to fall into the same sort of problems that have gone on with infobox images in the first place. However, I'm open to discussion on these issues. If you disagree with me, please let me know and we can discuss here. - breathesgelatinTalk 00:10, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please respond to this message on April 2nd or later, Inquisitor types
Hey Inquisitors: since messing with the main page on April 1st has become a tradition here, you should probably change the queue to skip that day. There's a very good chance whatever article is featured that day will not be featured properly. Cheers, —Utterly Humourless Dan (talk) 03:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- You've spoiled my laughs once again. Ever the proverbial wet blanket. I salute you. Graestan(Talk) 03:06, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thank you for your consideration in this matter. I'd suggest a suitable FA for that date, but it's well into the future, I am not an Inquisitor, and of course I am —Utterly Humourless Dan (talk) 03:10, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Splitting the queue
This thing is getting to be very big. And that's awesome. But, it's becoming a pain to load. I'm on a pretty good high-speed connection, and it just took over a minute for that little wheel to stop a'turnin'. I can only imagine what this might do to some poor soul with dialup on a slow computer. So, what say we split off a 2009 queue for now. (Obviously, for technical reasons, we'll need to merge it back in before year's end–no problem.) And maybe down the line, we'll want to split 2009 up in six (or four, or whatever) month intervals when that gets too long. Sound ok? -- Ozzel 22:51, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. And it's not hard at all to copy+paste them all back when it comes time. Jorrel

- Well, if no one has any objections (and I don't see why they would, but hey), then I'll do this tomorrow (er, today... later). -- Ozzel 05:51, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, peoples. It is finished. Next time you're crazy enough to queue something, be sure you add it to Wookieepedia:Featured article queue/2009 (which is now linked at the top of the 2008 queue as well as on the Inq checklist). -- Ozzel 01:38, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
