Droids section[]

Maybe we should have a section here for droids, like at Wookieepedia:Good articles? Right now, droids are lumped into individuals (Guri) or technology (GH-7 medical analysis unit). -LtNOWIS 13:45, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Characters section[]

What about subdividing it somehow? It's a bit long and hard-to-look-at at the minute, in my opinion. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:00, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

  • There's really no clean way to do it. I say we just leave it and accept we have a lot of character articles. Havac 22:58, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
    • A-M/N-Z? Wouldn't sort them out any differently, but it might make it more visually acceptable. - Lord Hydronium 23:02, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

The tabby dealie thingy[]

The tabs for all the FA-related pages are too wide at 1024x768. I propose a solution similar to what was done here, but since I'm not sure how that was done, all I can do is propose it. Gonk (Gonk!) 00:20, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Events organization[]

I recently split up the Events section to make navigation a bit easier. I'm not interested in forcing this change on people, though, so let's find out what the consensus is, talk page vote style. This is what the page looked like before I changed it. --Imperialles 09:01, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Do not organize Events by eras[]

Organize Events by eras[]

  1. I think it looks pretty good, plus it makes locating articles I'm interested in easier. --Imperialles 09:01, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Looks good to me. While I'd also like to see it organized chronologically like Hydro suggest below, I understand if that's more trouble logistically than it's worth. jSarek 09:15, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  3. It looks considerably cleaner now. Any sort of organization makes it look cleaner, whether they be chronological or by event. It helps keep the events from looking like a wall of blue text. Before, it was almost impossible to tell where what article ended and what article began. Trak Nar Ramble on 09:20, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  4. As self-serving as it seems, per jS. :P - Lord Hydronium 09:20, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  5. Chronological ordering might be very, very difficult, though. But as long as I don't have to do it. I suppose I'm a bit lazy. Thefourdotelipsis 11:35, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  6. -- 1358 (Talk) 12:47, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  7. Rise of the empire era goes back 1000 years before the Yavin battle? Was the empire rising for a thousand years? That seems a bit excessive. I'd call it Late Republic up until the empire was declared. --Jaguartalon 06:39, November 6, 2011 (UTC)
    • That's simply the name of the official publication era, so it's not ours to change. Also, please note that this discussion is over a year old. If you wish to suggest further changes to the organization, I recommend starting a new section. CC7567 (talk) 20:40, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

Discussion[]

  • Would it be feasible to do the individual events within each section by chronological order? Alphabetical's nice for characters and such, but it's a bit less intuitive for a category where most items tend to be conjecturally titled or start with "_____ Battle". - Lord Hydronium 09:07, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
    • It would definitely be possible. I'm far from a chronology expert, though, so I would need some help organizing the section like this. --Imperialles 09:10, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
  • Continuing what I mentioned above in that what a bit of organization did for the overall appearance of the events... There is still some contrast lacking. At first glance, the events still seem to blend together in one big blue-and-purple mass. The individuals not so much as they are names and the distinction between article links is easier to see with shorter titles. However, since even articles tend to have lengthier titles, it is a bit harder to see the delineation between article links, ie; that itty bitty dot. It may just be that I'm reading this without my glasses and my eyes are just bad, but it seems like a paragraph of text to me. I'd suggest perhaps a multi-column scroll box, but that might get a bit messy and I might be the only one with this problem. Though, the events being organized as they are now was a considerable improvement. Trak Nar Ramble on 09:25, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

BIG Problem on today's FA[]

Vectivus passed into physical death centuries prior to 40 ABY, but his spirit retained its power and lingered in Jonex's labyrinthine mines underneath the Home, where in life he had once resided. It was also there where his ghost met the then–Dark Lady of the Sith, Lumiya, who had taken up residence in his home. Lumiya later raised a phantom of Lord Vectivus passed into physical death centuries prior to 40 ABY, but his spirit retained its power and lingered in Jonex's labyrinthine mines underneath the Home, where in life he had once resided. It was also there where his ghost met then–Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya, who had since taken up residence in his home. Lumiya later raised a phantom of Lord Vectivus that encountered a young female Jedi Knight named Nelani Dinn in the asteroid mines. DarthHyperion 03:12, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

  • This really isn't the most appropriate place for this. Bring up article issues on the Darth Vectivus talk page. Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:17, January 6, 2011 (UTC)
    • I thought of that, but there's nothing wrong with the original article, just the one on the main page... DarthHyperion 04:15, January 6, 2011 (UTC)
  • Another problem with today's.

Along with Cody, Rex, Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, the two troopers were presented when the Confederate General Grievous invaded the planet to destroy Tipoca City's cloning facilities to end the production of clone troopers. It says "presented" where it should state "present". Again, I've checked with the main article and nothing wrong there, only on the main page. DarthHyperion 06:33, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • Fixed. Grunny (talk) 06:50, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
  • Sorry, it isn't fixed yet... DarthHyperion 07:07, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
  • Look again. The main page just needed to update as it had cached and was showing the old version. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 07:25, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
  • Sorry about that. Figured that if i gave it 15 mins and refreshed I would've seen the changes already. Thanks! DarthHyperion 07:28, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

What happens to the day by featured articles? Are they week or month now? DyerMaker 01:16, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Oh okay. That makes sense. DyerMaker 01:18, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Wikia Scheme Dropdown Menu[]

Um, I'm not sure that anyone has realized this, since I know a bunch of people use the Monobook scheme, but there's a problem with the Featured Articles drop-down menu on the top of the screen. Currently, it lists Darth Plagueis, Darth Bane, Darth Caedus, Mara Jade Skywalker, the 501st Legion, Jaina Solo, and Darth Sion. I'm fairly certain that several of those articles are not Featured anymore - I know for a fact that the 501st isn't Featured anymore, and it even has a cleanup template. Mara Jade is under review by the Inquisitorius, and Bane is in need of updating.

In my opinion, several of these articles are no longer the best representation of Wookieepedia, and I don't think that they should be exhibited like they are. I do have a suggestion besides changing the articles in the drop-down, however: why don't we have it show the last six or seven Featured Articles that have been exhibited on the Main Page? Or at least rotate through a larger set of actually Featured Articles that are main-stream story articles.

That's just my opinion. Does anyone agree? —Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 03:31, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Problem with drop down list[]

The featured articles drop down list links the canon Cad Bane instead of the Legends Cad Bane which is the featured article.Harshg (talk) 13:20, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • The same problem is with the Executor.--Harshg (talk) 10:12, January 31, 2017 (UTC)
    • For me it links the legends pages of both. --Lewisr (talk) 11:27, January 31, 2017 (UTC)
