I concur, if only because I'd expect someone to open each meeting with "I bid you all dark greetings!" —Darth Culator(talk) 18:33, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Now that we have the Dark Greetings picture (Which is great...lol), we could rename this page Mofferences, as suggested above. StarNeptune 08:44, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Seeing as the policy says "fortnightly" and the last transcript is marked Feb 28, aren't we long overdue for a meeting? RMF 22:37, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm certainly up for it. But I don't know if WhiteBoy and/or Riff have resolved the channel sysop thing with the Wikicities people yet. Not a huge issue, but it would probably be a good idea first. —Darth Culator(talk) 23:33, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
During today's mini-meeting consisting of me, Jaymach, StarNeptune and Darth Culator, a new meeting date was proposed: Sunday April 16, 2:00 AM (UTC). Jaymach says he probably can get JustinGann and McEwok there as well. Do you think the date is reasonable? Or are there other suggestions? - Sikon [Talk] 16:29, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
That's what, 10:00 pm Eastern? Works for me. -- Dark Spork 03:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Except the 16th is Easter Sunday. Might be a problem. -- Dark Spork 03:37, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Not sure I could make that, but I don't necessarily have to be there. We'd need someone to volunteer as moderator since I doubt I'll make it. And it is about time we have another. :) WhiteBoy 00:00, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
I think I could make it there. Kuralyov 00:02, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
As could I, most likely. RMF 00:08, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Every weekend this month is shot for me, I think. :-/ jSarek 01:16, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Went ahead and put it out there. :) WhiteBoy 01:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
As the previous meeting didn't succeed, I'd like to hear your suggestions. Please post the dates and times when you can attend an IRC meeting (in UTC; also remember that DST is on, so GMT is currently UTC+1). - Sikon [Talk] 05:38, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Is it really a question that can be debated? I believe it's just forbidden to use this material... -- Kaal 12:41, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
We've made an exception on one occasion due to a complete lack of alternative material. But in general, it is forbidden. The one exception I know of is in compliance with Wikipedia's fair use policy, but we should hammer out a more explicit and specific policy of our own. And if possible, find an alternative for the one exception. -- Darth Culator(Talk)(TINC) 13:51, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree, Kaal. But I put it on there because, as Culator said, we need to discuss the issue and perhaps make an official policy about it, because there have been disagreements on the subject before. -- Ozzel 21:34, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I looked all over this article and their is no mention of location. Where exactly in the city are these meetings?--JohnSpartan117 21:38, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
I just noticed it said the meeting is being held on IRC. How do you use it, where do you register for it, etc...etc..., if you've never used IRC before? Sadriel Fett(Mando'a) 21:43, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
There are many different ways to use IRC; we discuss many of them here: Wookieepedia:IRC. jSarek 22:22, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Need to check the timezones. I was just passing, so I don't have time to look them all up, but thought I'd point out that November 10th, at 2300 hrs UTC is the same time in GMT, not midnight, like it says. — beeurdtalk 20:54, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Can we re-arrange the next Moffrence time to like, two hours earlier next time. because i'll most likely be able to attend if it was at 21:00 GMT. Darth AbeonisSith Council(Sith Campaign) 09:28, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
What is a mofference? I have only been here 4 months, and I don't know what to do.BobafettH23 00:12, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
It's an online meeting of Wookieepedia users to discuss issues relating to Wookieepedia, named after a silly word for a conference of Moffs used in the children's book The Glove of Darth Vader. It's carried out on IRC (click here for more details) and occurs irregularly. jSarek 15:10, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Hello, everyone. Uh, listen; do you mind if I change the image for the Mofference template on this page? The Trioculus image just brings back unpleasant memories... *shudders* Well, anyway, just asking! Sir Adas Xendor, Noble Knight of the Sith Round Table 00:27, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
I mind, since the whole point of the original pic was to have a bit of fun. (And it is actually a picture of a mofference). QuentinGeorge 00:50, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
I know, but I just like the idea of supposed seriousness (when in actuality, it's all just a bit of fun) over supposed fun (when in actuality, it's all just a bit of seriousness). More fun, I think! Sir Adas Xendor, Noble Knight of the Sith Round Table 00:57, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Adas Xendor, what did you mean by the following point which you added to the agenda: "The expansion of Wookieepedia into a true player in canonical affairs"?–SentryTalk 22:58, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Considering we already have ten people claiming they can make it, perhaps we should actually set a date so they can find out if that's going to be true. jSarek 01:37, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
How about we host some form of competition(s), y'know, to encourage members to take part in the comunity or something like that. Of course, these competitions would be Star Wars related, involving stuff like "design a ship contest", or "make a form of lightsaber combat", or something else like that. I think that it would be pretty fun, what do you guys think about it?
This is a good idea for a fanfiction community: but we are not one of those, so I think I'll pass. —Silly Dan(talk) 22:51, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I suppose so. It was just an idea in a nutshell. Maybe some competition less fannon like, perhaps? --Nightmare--(Request Support) 00:58, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
I have tried to log in to a Mofference two times in a row. It comes up with the PAGE CAN NOT BE DISPLAYED message. I guess they don't like me. :(
Grand Admiral Nick Vos[Holonet]
How about one tomorrow at noon eastern time? - Patricksheridan 7:58pm, January 5, 2007 (EST)
We generally give much more notice than that. jSarek 10:23, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Then how about January 31, 2007 at 4:00pm eastern time? - Patricksheridan 12:34pm, January 6, 2007 (EST)
A suggestion for something to discuss at the upcoming Mofference. Edit
May I suggest discussing whether or not complaints against other users should be considered personal attacks and dealt with the same way? Because things like this are really getting annoying. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax(Imperial Holovision) 22:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw that. Feel free to add it to the agenda. —Xwing328(Talk) 23:22, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
My computer will not allow me access the IRC thing. What sort of place is it so I can know in what way it is opposed? Karohalva 21:15, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Could the next Mofference be Friday June 19, 2009, at 5:00 PM Central Time? --Skypopper(HoloNet Transmission) 22:48, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
We usually schedule them much further in advance. —Silly Dan(talk) 23:22, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
OK, how about Friday July 10, 2009 at 5:00 PM Central Time? --Skypopper(HoloNet Transmission) 23:59, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm going to schedule one a bit later than that, based on when some of the site's key active administrators will be available. Please leave it to us, thanks. Graestan(Talk) 03:19, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
