Next week's content
Edit
Should I put up the content for next week's program? Does anybody care? .... 06:37, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Go ahead, though for those not hooked up with ITunes, could it be transferred to a file that might work on YouTube or something similar? -- Riffsyphon1024 06:41, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. You'll have to talk with Xwing328 about that. He's the technical director. I'm just the idiot with the put-on American accent. ;) .... 06:49, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- hey guys, is "the Jones" really going to be on the next wookiee-cast? and when i say "the Jones", i mean the "James Earl"...Darth Beavis 13:06, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, James Earl Jones will be on the Wookiee-Cast. .... 22:36, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- "dude"..."sweet!"...Darth Beavis 13:46, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Transcripts
Edit
Well, I got the transcript done a little earlier than I told you... I managed to find some time this morning to type it up. You can find it here. You may or may not want to review it, to your liking, to check for accuracy, completeness, etc. I'm posting a duplicate message on your talk page, so I know you will get it. Thanks for making them (the Wookiee-Cast) and letting me make the transcripts! Jorrel

- Good job Jorrel. You've harnessed his mispronunciations perfectly. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:16, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
This is awesome
Edit
Sorry to go off-topic, but I have to say, this is awesome! Congrats Fourdot and Xwing. Chack Jadson 20:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- cheers, awesome indeed! Darth Beavis 13:08, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Just Sound?
Edit
Is the Podcast just sound or dose it have video?Gyasz Kudeb 02:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just sound. No video, yet, and most likely, no video at all. There are transcripts, though. Jorrel

Cujo
Edit
I wonder if Cujo is an alternate name of Mount Sorrow or is some new mascot. I automatically thought of that dog but I wasn't sure. -- Riffsyphon1024 22:24, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Cujo is just the announcer. He's named for the dog, but he's a bit of an idiot, like Dmitri. Mount Sorrow is still the mascot. .... 22:34, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- why is the mascot Mt Sorrow?Gyasz Kudeb 22:40, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- You could list the characters (Cujo, Dmitri) that show up in each episode, along side the guests (Zahn, Vader). Users could cross-reference which ones had particular sound bites and whatnot. Basically like how you have the current one with the upcoming but for each previous one. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:56, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm kinda scratching my head here...could you provide an example of what you mean? .... 05:20, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Just to have some consistency, you could place these sections one after another with the data pertaining to each episode, but additionally have a "cast" if you will. But ultimately what you do with it is up to you, as it's just an idear.
- I'm kinda scratching my head here...could you provide an example of what you mean? .... 05:20, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
===Episode X Line Up=== ====Cast==== ====Feature Story==== ====Even Better Feature Story==== ====In The News==== ====In The Hotseat==== ====Topics==== ====The Life And Times Of Wookieepedia==== -- Riffsyphon1024 05:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wait, so I keep an archive of the previous casts, and list the cast for yeach episode? My head is spinning. .... 05:26, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Length
Edit
Geez Fourdot, how long are you going to make it? Chack Jadson 21:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's spiralling out of control. And last week, we didn't even have an Anderson tape, a Feature Story, or any news to report! .... 21:38, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- The download for the third one croaked on me so I wasn't able to listen to it. I'll try the somewhat shorter 4th cast. -- Riffsyphon1024 16:30, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- "Croaked"? Do you have a proxy with a file length limit? If so, just post the file format you prefer, and I'll split it. - Sikon 16:36, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm using a faster network (albeit on campus) to download the files, however now the mp4 files have an error in Quicktime after they downloaded "Error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in the movie. The second one however loaded fine. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- As for the mp3s, 3 and 4 seem to stop loading at 33%. The first one came from Jaymach's site and worked, so is it a problem with your site? The file names are capitalized on his and not yours. Would that cause this? -- Riffsyphon1024 17:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- WC 3.mp3 now only loads 25%. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:30, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- And the OGG only made it to 29%. Frack. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:42, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Jaymach is moving them to his server. - Sikon 17:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

WC Episode III
Edit
Now that I've finally had an opportunity to listen to this Wookiee-Cast, I would just like to make the correction that the Dexter I was referring to was not Dexter Jettster but rather Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory, but now that I think about it, 4dot's voice is more like Mandark, (hah hah hah). I might have already discussed this in the IRC but this is my claim on the wiki just to straighten that out. Perhaps I should state the entire description in the future. However, you do great impressions with whatever voices you do. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:10, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe I should do a whole episode as Dexter Jettster... .... 00:20, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't recommend it. Imitating Dexter for an hour or so would leave you horse. Then again... that might be funny. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 00:52, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Edit
Please bring it back 4dot! This is an awesome show! Adamwankenobi 12:41, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
iTunes issue
Edit
iTunes has all the episodes listed but will only download EpisodeIX parts 1 and 2. Any help would be appreciated.Sith Lord 13 01:58, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Episodes I-VIII are Out of Print for very, very good reasons. If you didn't catch them the first time around, that's too bad. They'll be re-introduced when the Wookiee-Cast enters its second season, hopefully sometime later this year, albiet edited from their original release. There seems to be some issue with releasing Episode X on iTunes, which I'm not sure how to resolve...you might want to try Xwing328. Thefourdotelipsis 05:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- Or you can do what I did and stream it from http://www.jaymach.com/Wookiee-Cast/Wookiee-Cast10.mp3 . Worked just fine for me. supergeeky1

Wookiee-Cast Coming Back!
Edit
- "Come here guys. There's a lack of black representation on the board. Let's take a walk."
- ―Vader to black-clad Imperial fighters
I'm really looking forward to hearing your interview with the Vader Sessions creator. I have that video playing constantly on my other profile and think it is an audio feast. -- Riffsyphon1024 21:39, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hah. Well, we're sure to go in depth about the creation of the video, and all, so there'll be a lot of "SEEMINGLY MEANINGLESS TRIVIA", but it should be fun. Only a couple of weeks to go. ;) Thefourdotelipsis 23:19, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Uhuh. What's happening? -- Riffsyphon1024 04:48, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Labour issues. We'll get there at some stage, Godwilling. Thefourdotelipsis 07:04, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- At least you've gotten something out this week. Great song for Guri! :) -- Riffsyphon1024 20:18, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the interview's going to have to wait a bit. Thefourdotelipsis 23:12, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Reactions to New Wookiee-Cast
Edit
- Loved the Burl montage.
- Damn you, sir, damn you for getting "Sussudio" in my head.
- Nice name for the singing segment. And it's pronounced "EE-nuck" (nuck like duck).
- What was with the moment of "Heaven Is a Place on Earth"?
See you in IRC. I have a couple of ideas for the next one. Gonk (Gonk!) 16:12, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Bring Wookiee-Cast Back!
Edit
We have had only one Wookiee-Cast since November and not another since June of 2007? I would like to see this reborn because it added an additional element to our wiki and I just plain enjoyed it. Nice to listen to while editing. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:21, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
