The X-8 Night Sniper was a model of blaster pistol manufactured by BlasTech Industries that featured a computerized scope and silent mode operation.[1] X-8 Night Snipers were used by both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.[4]
The bounty hunters Latts Razzi[5] and C-21 Highsinger[3] were known to use such pistols during the Clone Wars.[3][5] During a Mission to Utapau, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker used two X-8 Night Snipers to fight off Sugi arms dealers.[6] During his time as a smuggler, Lando Calrissian also used an X-8 Night Sniper to fight the crime boss Azmorigan and his henchmen on the planet Lothal.[2]
