Xbox is a video game console made by Microsoft. Its successor is the Xbox 360.

Xbox Live was the console's online gaming service. Originally launched in November of 2002, it allowed paying users to compete against each other over the Internet. It also allowed users to purchase new characters and levels for their games through downloadable content. The service was discontinued on the Xbox on April 15th, 2010.
