Brother Xando was a male insectoid alien of the Norclu Order. In 0 BBY, Xando and his sect were on a pilgrimage to their holy planet Norclune and searched for a pilot in Chalmun's Cantina on Tatooine who could take them there. The order approached Han Solo, but the smuggler declined when he learned that the pilgrims had no possessions to pay him for the trip.
