Xcalq-3GA "Slicer Special" was a portable computer that had a unique ability to quickly slice through standard security in Galactic Alliance computer networks. Galactic Alliance Core Fleet made great use of it when faced with necessity to slice systems in ships and installations that formerly belonged to Alliance. Though Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire installed its own systems, under the surface most systems were identical to the ones used by the Alliance Remnant. Despite its particular effectiveness against alliance software, the computer was also favored by slicers for its small portable size and copious processing power, which made it easily modifiable and retrofitted to slice into many other types of software as well.
