Xenoboric acid was a highly corrosive substance.

In 3,963 BBY, the Calipsan 560 mining ship Hot Prospect had a supply of xenoboric acid aboard which was creatively employed as an offensive weapon against the Crucible starship Gladiator, as the mining ship's laser armament was insufficient to repel the Crucible vessel.

Xenoboric acid was placed in a vial in the head of Jabba Desilijic Tiure's ship captain, Scuppa. If he were to betray the Hutt at any time, the Hutt would press a switch which would release the acid through his brain cells. Scuppa would die instantly. In 5 BBY, when Princess Nampi chomped down Scuppa as a wedding gift, Jabba pressed the switch, and the acid killed the Princess also.
