The YI-5 interrogation droid was similar in design to the IT-O droid. It was shaped approximately like a remote, with a hovering, approximately spherical body. In addition to conducting interrogation semi-autonomously, a YI-5 droid could track down a subject in the manner of a seeker. Such droids were fitted with stealth fields that enabled them to blend in with the approximate color of their surroundings.

This type of droid was commonly employed by the ISB during the days of the Galactic Empire.
