The Yakez was a Star Destroyer of the New Republic Fourth Fleet and the New Republic Fifth Fleet.^[1]

HistoryEdit

The Yakez served in the Fourth Fleet, and was later reassigned to the inaugural New Republic Fifth Fleet because of the dire military threat that the Yevethan Duskhan League posed to the New Republic. Because of its size and armaments, it was the flagship of Task Force Apex during the Black Fleet Crisis, under the command of Commodore Farley Carson.^[1]

Yakez was destroyed at the Battle of N'zoth when a pair of Yevethan thrustships battered her shields down and caused the detonation of her forward magazine, breaking her in half.^[1]
