Behind the scenesEdit

The Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope novelization mentions a Yellow Squadron covering the squadron that would become the film's Gold Squadron. Since only the novelization mentions Yellow and every other squadron's name changed from novel to film, it's uncertain that the extra squadron was named Yellow.
