The Yinchorri Uprising represented a series of aggressive actions by the Yinchorri in 33 BBY.
After joining the Galactic Republic in 58 BBY, the Yinchorri were quick to embrace the inflow of technology and commerce. A military force was rapidly developed and conquest inhabited their minds.
Provoked by Darth Sidious with the help of Vilmarh Grahrk, the Yinchorri invaded the nearby moon of Mayvitch 7 in 33 BBY. After a series of bloody battles, the Jedi were able to pacify the Yinchorri with the aid of the Judicial Forces. Subsequently, Yinchorr was placed under interdict by the Republic.
Palpatine's goal was threefold. First, seven Jedi (including one member of the Jedi Council) were killed. Second, the Yinchorri—aggressive, expansionist, armed with cortosis, and immune to mind tricks—would have posed a threat to his plan to rule the galaxy, and he was able to manipulate others to solve the problem for him. Third, it critically weakened Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum's political standing in the Galactic Senate, paving the way for Palpatine's own rise.
