- "If beings are capable of protecting others but refuse to take action to preserve their own sense of peace, they are being selfish. They place themselves and their sense of peace over the peace of others, and so they defend a philosophy instead of lives. In this way, they fail everyone. This is where their choice is evil."
- ―Ylenic It'kla[src]
Ylenic It'kla was a Caamasi Jedi Knight from the planet Caamas during the Clone Wars.
[edit] Biography
It'kla was a pacifist who always preferred negotiating over fighting, though he was armed with a green-bladed lightsaber in case a fight was inevitable. He was one of the few members of his species to ever become a Jedi.
Seven days after the Battle of Geonosis he was assigned along with Aayla Secura to a mission to Corellia to find a Techno Union scientist named Ratri Tane, who was willing to give vital information in exchange for security for his family. It'kla and Secura were able to accomplish the mission with help from the Corellian Jedi Nejaa Halcyon.
It'kla's fate throughout the rest of the war remained unknown, but it is known that he was able to survive both the Great Jedi Purge and the devastation of Caamas. His survival may have been possible due to a mission he was assigned toward the end of the Clone Wars. This mission included Nejaa Halcyon and another unknown Jedi. It'kla and his companions were tasked with destroying the leaders of the Sith-based cult, the Jensaarai.
Following this, he escaped to Alderaan, where he became a political adviser to Bail Organa and Trustant of the Caamasi Remnant on the planet. He was a part of the delegation sent by Organa to meet with Bria Tharen on Cloud City in 3 BBY. Shortly thereafter, he was killed with the rest of the planet in the Destruction of Alderaan.
